Niki and I had gone shopping that morning, on Dr. Cohen's scheduled time. We decided to buy ingredients to make a red velvet cake, and we were going to stream us baking it. At 1pm on the dot, I started up my stream.

"Hello, chat! Niki's here now, and we're gonna be baking a red velvet cake!" I exclaimed

"I wanted chocolate," Niki added

"Red velvet is objectively so much better," I commented. She sighed, but smiled.

"Hey Cam! Do you miss Ranboo..." Niki read, trailing off.

"Chat, please refrain from asking questions about him!" I exclaimed, and Niki abruptly changed the topic.

"Do you have a recipe?" She asked

"Nope, let me find one," I replied, googling a red velvet cake recipe.

"Got it!" I smiled, showing Niki the recipe.

"Ok! So we need vegetable oil, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, buttermilk, eggs, red food colouring, white vinegar, and vanilla extract." She read, as I ran around gathering ingredients.

"Niki! Preheat the oven!" I called

"To what?"

"350!" We were shouting to eachother like madwomen across my tiny ass kitchen. The neighbours will probably file a noise complaint later.

"Ok, chat! I'm doing the dry ingredients! Niki, read me what to do!" I yelled. Niki laughed, grabbing my phone and reading out the instructions.

"Sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder!" She read. I did just as she said.

"What next?" I asked

"The wet ingredients!" She exclaimed. I grabbed the phone as she grabbed a bowl.

"Whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food colouring, vinegar, and vanilla!" I read, she did it, and we high fived.

"Using a standing mixer- I don't have a fucking standing mixer!" I exclaimed

"Do you have any electric mixer?" She asked

"Yeah, a handheld one!" I replied

"Good enough!" She exclaimed, taking the phone from me.

"Oh, is it my turn?" I asked

"Yeah! Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a smooth batter is formed!" She read. I poured them both into a big bowl and mixed until it looked like cake batter.

"Perfect!" Niki exclaimed, handing me the phone.

"Put the batter into the pans and put them in the oven!" I exclaimed. She evenly distributed the batter among our two pans and put them in the oven, setting a timer for half an hour.

"Is it icing time?" She asked

"You bet it's icing time," I grinned

"Read me the ingredients!" She exclaimed, getting in a position where she was ready to start sprinting. Holding back my laughter, I read off the ingredients.

"Cream cheese, confectioners sugar, butter, and vanilla!"

"On, it chef!" She exclaimed, sprinting around my kitchen. I cracked up.

"Yeah, that's right, call me chef, you idiot sandwich!" I laughed, switching into a british accent on those last two words

"Woah, ok Gordon Ramsey!" Niki laughed, placing the ingredients on the counter.

"Niki, will you please read me the directions from the recipe on my phone?" I asked politely, switching the mood instantly. She tried not to laugh, grabbing my phone.

"Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and butter on a low speed!" Niki smiled. I did what she said.

"Now what?" I asked

"Turn the speed to high and mix for five minutes," She said. I did that, then she handed me the phone. I took it gently.

"Turn the speed to low, add the vanilla, then turn it to high and mix it until it's fluffy!" I read. She did that, and I grabbed the bowl and put it in the fridge.

"Ok, chat, 20 minutes of nothing now!" I smiled

"Cam. Do you know what this means?" Asked Niki, hitting the counter and snapping her head over to look at me.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked, imitating her actions.

"Two ten minute all too well's!" We exclaimed in unison, before bursting into laughter. We listened to the song twice, singing along, before the timer went off. I grabbed the cake out of the oven and Niki grabbed the icing out of the fridge. We iced the cake and showed it off to chat before ending the stream and immediately starting to cook dinner, spaghetti and meatballs.
