I was home. Finally home, in my room, with my sister, eating chips on my bed. Of course, I missed Cam, I would never stop missing him, but god, it felt so good to be home.

"Your phones buzzing," Commented Josie, lying on my bed with me.

"Thanks," I nodded, picking up my phone to see texts from Cam. I grinned.

God. I hadn't even noticed I had started crying.

"Spence?" Asked Josie. I snapped my head up to look at them.

"You're crying," He pointed out

"Cam just- he just broke up with me, Jo," I said shakily. Immediately, my sibling leapt over to me. hugging me tightly.

"I'm sorry, Spence. I'm so, so sorry." They whispered comfortingly.

"I don't understand. They said they loved me yesterday," I sniffed

"Hey, they might have just needed some time? Long distance isn't for everyone." Josie comforted me.

"I know, I know. I just didn't expect this. We were doing so perfect." I shook my head sadly, wiping my tears away.

"I know, I know," Josie comforted me. I took a shaky breath, and stood up.

"No point sulking, what's done is done. Let's make cookies." I said brightly. Josie looked at me sympathetically for a minute before standing with me and following me to the kitchen.
