After the debris had settled, Bruno and Y/n simply sat on the grass for a moment in pure shock. Their home had just crumbled to the ground. All of their memories, their whole childhood together, now turned to dust.

Bruno looked at what had become of his lifelong home, the place he had received his gift, and seen his nieces and nephews grow up- even if from a distance. He began to cry, a single tear slipping out.

Y/n looked at him, and without hesitating pulled him to herself, trying to comfort him without having the right words. Bruno didn't hesitate to hug back either, and once he had stopped crying he didn't let go. He held onto her like a lifeboat in a storm. She remembered the way she had clung to him upon discovering he was still alive, and held him just as close.

"I'm so sorry, osito..." Y/n muttered in his ear, wishing she could take away all his sadness.

He didn't respond, simply gripped her tighter, making it clear he needed her closeness right now.

They stayed that way for a long time, holding each other close next to the wreckage of their home. After a long while, they heard the rest of the Madrigals calling Mirabel's name. Bruno and Y/n quickly realized she must be missing.

Bruno reluctantly pulled away from Y/n, but he was determined to help find his niece. He led Y/n to where the stables had been, and luckily Casita had saved the horses. They managed to find a saddle, and they climbed onto a horse that was big enough to hold both of them, as well as room for Mirabel. Y/n sat in the front of the saddle and gripped the reins, and Bruno held onto her from behind and scanned the forest for Mirabel.

After a while of searching, they had crossed where the mountain had split down the middle and come close to a river. Through the leaves, Bruno spotted Mirabel and Abuela at it's edge. "There!"

Bruno pointed and Y/n led the horse that direction. Once they reached the riverbank, Bruno practically fell off the horse. "She didn't do this!" Y/n slid off the horse after him, standing next to him. "I gave her a vision!" He tried to put his foot on the horse's side but slipped, Y/n catching him before he hit the ground. He shot her a grateful look before turning back to Abuela.

"I don't care what you think of me, but if you're too stubborn to-" Bruno continued, but was interrupted by Abuela hugging him closely.

"I feel... like I've missed something important." Bruno said, confused at his mother's affection towards him.

"Come on, let's go back," said Mirabel.

She and Abuela got up on the horse, and Bruno and Y/n went up after them, barely fitting on safely. (A/N: Listen I don't know how this would work in real life, but for now, ****suspension of disbelief****)

"Where are we going?" asked Bruno in a nervous tone as he held on to Abuela, but was hyperaware of you holding on to him, wrapping your arms around his waist.

"Home," said Mirabel, spurring the horse to action.

Once they reached where the house had been, they found the rest of the Madrigal family assembled among the debris.

(A/N: I'm skipping a little bit since I don't exactly remember what happened before Bruno showed himself so-)

Camilo seemed confused at the appearance of his missing tio. "So.. we gonna talk about Bruno?"

"That's Bruno," said Antonio.

"Yeah, there's a lot to say about Bruno.. I'll start, okay!" Bruno said with a small nervous laugh. "Pepa I'm sorry 'bout your wedding, didn't mean to be upsetting. That wasn't a prophecy I could just see you were sweating, and I wanna let you know that your bro loves you so. Let it in, let it out, let it rain, let it snow, let it gooo!"

"That's what I'm always saying, bro!" said Felix with a smile.

"Got a lot of 'pologies I got to say.." Bruno continued.

"Hey! We're just happy that you're here, okay" said Julieta.

"Come into the light," added Pepa.

"Let us all reunite," said Agustin.

"And no matter what, we're gonna find our way," the three harmonized.

"I knew he never left, I heard him every day," added Dolores, elbowing Camilo.

After everyone had welcomed Bruno back, Maribel started everyone moving on the rebuilding of the Casita, helping Luisa due to the loss of her gift with a large chunk of debris. Everyone in town showed up with tools to help, and together, the reconstruction went very quickly. Y/n worked with Bruno to do the outline of the updated floor plan with sand lines.

Her own room was a bit bigger and built to be a permanent bedroom, unlike her previous one. Bruno's tower was a bit more practical, still being tall but having the bedroom piece on door level and the vision cave a bit further up, with stairs but also a ladder as an alternate route. The trek wasn't so exhausting now.

Once the Casita was rebuilt, there was only one thing still missing.

"We need a doorknob," said Bruno to Mirabel.

"We made this one for you," added Antonio, holding out to her a golden doorknob with the letter 'M' on it.

As the family lined up on either side of the door to make an aisle for Mirabel and she walked down it, each member of the family whispered encouragements to Mirabel, including Bruno with Y/n standing next to him.

As Mirabel place the doorknob in the door, magic spread from it over the whole house. Mirabel took a surprised step back as an image of the whole family appeared on the front door, and Casita came to life once more, swinging open windows and rattling roof tiles in greeting.

The family surged to go inside, but Bruno and Y/n let the others pass rather than getting swept up in the crowd. Y/n grabbed Bruno's hand to pull him inside, and just as they turned to go in, a photographer in the crowd shouted, "May I have a picture, senorita?"

Y/n turned to the camera, smiling, and when the photographer gave her the photo she opened her mouth in surprise. Looking over her shoulder to see what she was so shocked at, Bruno's eyes widened as well.

In the photo, Y/n had forgotten to let go of Bruno's hand, despite the camera being solely focused on her. In the finished picture, Y/n had been standing in front of the Casita, smiling and happier than she had ever seen herself, and on the edge of the picture were her and Bruno's intertwined hands.

"The vision," Y/n breathed.

Bruno was surprised too, but neither of them let go of the other's hand and she smiles and tucked the photo away in her dress. "Guess it turned out well, hm? Let's go catch up with the family!" And so, she ran into the new Casita, Bruno being dragged along behind her, laughing and trying to keep up.

A/N: Well, we have reached the end of the movie timeline, folks! But don't worry, it doesn't end here! This will be a slow burn, and this is only the beginning. I also want to say... I can't believe I wrote all of this within 24 hours from starting this fic. I started shortly after New Years, and it's now just after midnight, January 2nd. Well, enjoy everyone!
