Chaeyoung POV

"Surprise!" Somi squealed.

Yeah, indeed. She then embraced me in a narrow hug.

"W-what are you, uh-doing here?" I stuttered.

"Well, I'm here to see my best friend. Of course." She said.

"Best friend? Since when?" I snapped.

I swiftly tore the hug between us and took a step back. I can't believe she's here. And why is she here? The last person that was ever on my mind was her. She still looked the same after two year. Her long blonde hair fell, her eyes, and her smile. I sigh.

"Jeez, you have seemed to change

"Jeez, you have seemed to change." She withdrew.

"Its been a while Somi. Don't expect me here to be the same as you used to think. Really, Somi. What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I said before, I came to see you. Can we just go out? I mean I would like to catch up with you first. Its been two years since I last saw you." She mumbled.

She then walked in passed me without even asking and I closed the door slowly still having the sick feeling of being utterly shocked.

"What are your plans for today?" She asked.

Somi faced the living room. I haven't had time to clean up the house. Of course, the linger of beer and liquor still lingered in the air. I saw her back stiffen straight and turn back around to face me.

"Uh-I'm just studying." I said.

"That's great! Lets go out somewhere like the mall or to a restaurant. Anywhere outside." She said.

I'm too lazy to go out, beside it would be awkward if I go out with her. But to think again, I don't really have a dress for the dance and I guess talking to the other won't be too bad. Just a couple of hours. I sigh.

"Fine. Lets go to the mall. I need a dress anyways." I said.

Her smile grew wide as if she were the cheshire cat but I could only stiffen my face with a cold look.

"Look at you! Since when did you ever go to a dance?" She asked teased.

"Oh, shut up! I will explain later." I mumbled.

.......................

The whole car ride was hell, she talked nonstop about what happen within the two years she away. The drama, her family, the parties, and I was sick of it. Thankfully, we made it to the mall in one piece or I would have driven off a bridge. The drive was a while but I think it just Somi were in charge of talking. We make our way to the building and it filled with a lot of people. Then the smell of coffee was in the air, meaning the coffee shop was nearby which means there's a tea. I walked over to the small shop without having a second thought and ordered a medium hot green tea with lemon, honey and dab of mint.

"Jeez, Chaeyoung." I heard Somi yell.

I didn't pay any attention to her. I was too focused on the people the other side of glass to make sure they made my order perfectly.

"I start to walk one way for a second and you were gone." She said out of breath.

"Sorry." I said not meaning to sound apologetic.

"But of course I would find you. You tend to follow the scent of coffee. Which I don't know how could you order tea at the coffee shop and how you to obsess with that stuff." She mumbled.

I rolled my eyes and picked my drink at the end. We made our way to the stores and I started to question myself about the dance. I mean why is it too fancy? Shit! How about the make up? I don't even know how to do make up for my life. Shit!

"So, you are going to the dance?" She asked.

I simply nodded while took a cautious sip from the white lid to prevent my lips from being burned.

"You do realise that Tdoong's high school dance is really fancy right? Think about it Chaeyoung. Half of the kids there have a shit load of money. The school is paid millions for you guys to get into Star League college and the principal, is even called the headmaster. Are you sure you were going there?" She said with her lips pursed.

I sigh. I mean I already knew it. The dance definitely going to be grand when I went to the place to set up. It was larger than expected. The place even looked more like a fundraiser than just a dance.

"Yes. I do know that. And I'm terrified, to be honest. But, I make a promise." I said admit it.

She looked over, leaned closer to me and give a slight smirk.

"So, you got a date or?" She asked eagerly.

I nodded again.

"Oh. So you guys like dating or?" Again, she asked.

She start to put pressure on the questions. Why do she care?

"Look, Somi. I don't really feel comfortable talking about this with you. Honestly, it will became awkward between us. So, just drop it. Thank you." I said.

I put on hand up swiping it to the side trying to motion her that I didn't want to talk about it. Her face fell and her eyes went down. We make our way through the stores going in and out like subways going back and forth. I just want to go home. So, I told Somi that I want to go home but she don't want and I just leave her. Making way to the car with empty hand, I felt a bit anger because of the failure of not finding a dress. I feel frustrated because I don't know how to dress up for the dance. I turn the on the car and the heat poured out slowly. I didn't want to start moving yet because I wanted to settle in first. When I finally settle down and ready to pull away from the parking, I could felt a hand lay on top of mine. Knowingly that was Somi, I didn't look over.

"Chaeyoung, can we talk?" She said with a stern tone.

I sigh. I pulled the lever back into the park and set my hands in my lap. I turn down the heat and positioned myself for the argument. I really wasn't feeling up for this. I still don't understand, why is she came back.

"What's there to talk about, Somi?" I said annoyingly.

"Us." She said looking straight at me.

"Okay. Well, what about us? As I know, there's nothing to talk about us?" My voice started to raise from anger.

"I know I messed up. And I'm so sorry. I was confused and I don't understand how to help you with your dad at home. You are my best friend and-." I cuts her off.

"And what?! You choose to simply walk and leave me, Somi! And now you can't just simply walk back into my life?!" I'm now fully yelled.

She didn't say anything. Her cheeks reddened and her lips were sealed shut. She must know how furious I am because I'm yelling. And she knows how I hate yelled.

"You choose to cheated on me, Somi! You cheat on me! I was going through a hard time and that what you did to me. I understand if you can't do anything about my situation because I also can't do anything. But you choose to cheated on me! That's how you help me? You choose to hurt me even more. I trust you. So, tell me. What's the point of staying in the relationship when you cheated on me?!" I hissed.

This time I started to feel tears seep down to my face. I closer my eyes shut trying to erase what was done, but it was impossible. A flash went crossed her face, a flash memories. I knew I hurt her with my words but they were the truth. And I just hope she knows how much more she hurt me than I did to her with the words.

-So, what would you do if your cheated ex come back to you? Would you forgive them? Seriously though. I don't understand why people cheat?-
