Chapter 36

Mina POV

Flashback

"Charge to one hundred!" I heard dad friend yell.

"Clear!" Another man yelled.

"Start compressions again!" They yelled.

"Charge to two hundred!" Someone yelled.

I keep hearing people yelling. I turn to see my mom and dad crying beside me.

"Mom? Why don't you and dad go inside and help Minho?" I asked crying and confused.

Mom and dad was surgeon. They can help Minho. But why they didn't save him? The door to the room was open and I peeked to see what happen. I saw Minho laying there lifeless. He was pale but blood is everywhere. The door close.

"I'm sorry." My dad friend said to us.

Why did he say sorry? Minho was there.

"Mom! Dad! No! You have to go there and save Minho! You guys are the doctors and surgeon! Please!" I start yelled and crying.

But mon just held me tighter. She sobbing, same as dad. I turn to see Kai also crying.

End of flashback.

"Mina." I heard someone call out.

A soft shake was being pushed up against my right arm. I give out a small groan.

"Mina. Hey." I heard another whisper.

My eyes flutter open but it was hard. I could still feel the heaviness within my lids. Chaeyoung was kneeling next to my bed side.

"Hmm, your mom let me in." She whispered softly.

I felt a tear fall down off my eyelash and landed on my pillow, this is embarrassing.

"Hey, Minari. What's wrong?" She asked worriedly.

She sit up on my bed while I laid my head down on the pillow. I can already smell her scent filling my blanket. I didn't respond to her question. I heard her let out a sigh, but the pain in my heart felt so real. I didn't feel the support of my parents. If Minho was here, I'm sure he will support me with whole heart. I heard a creak and felt her arms wrap around my waist. I tingle shot through my body. She pulled me in closer to her chest, her hand stroke up and down my back comforting me. I looked up and rested forehead against hers. My chest got a little bit lighter and I heard my breath hitched.

"Hey. Its okay to crying. Just let it go. Everything going to be okay." She whispered.

My lips quivered, I felt her hands run through the back of my hair and I buried my head into the crook of her neck. Her thumb stroked my cheek gently, she didn't say anything. I closed my eyes and all I can hear was her heartbeat. Her heartbeat was calm, and it makes me felt warm and safe. I snuggled closer to her to felt her warm.

"Hmm, Minari." I heard she said softly.

I looked up again and I saw she looking directly at me.

"Would you like to go somewhere?" She asked innocently.

"Where to?" I sniffled.

"A place that special to me." She said.

"And what's that?" I asked.

She smile, showing her dimple.

"You will see unless you agree to come with me." She said still stroke my hair.

Hmm.

She give me a light smile and our faces were just centimetres away. Wait! Is this a date? I mean, I don't even know if she likes me. Then, I heard lightly knock at the door. We both tore our eyes from each other and looked towards to see my mom standing at the frame door.
