Ethan's POV

We opened the makeshift fence gate and slowly made our way in. Matt parked the car right outside of the gates just in case. There were broken down cars and trucks littered all over the parking lot. It looked like someone put up the chain link before things got too bad. We could fix it up and really have a secure place to stay. Ace gave me a strange look. He must've been worried. A large tent was set up in the middle of the parking lot. Everyone was intrigued by it.

"Okay split into two groups and one goes through the front and the other through the back." Matthew finally spoke. We formed into our groups. It was the same as before. My group waited in the back and Matthew's group was waiting in the front. "Now!" Matthew whispered. We picked our melee weapons up and charged in. There was nothing but boxes and a dead body sitting in the corner. Ace and I looked at each other. I opened a box out of curiosity. We hit a gold mine. There were guns, axes, and a small sword like thing.

"Dibs mutha fucka!!!" I picked up the short sword and held it. Ace looked in the box and pulled out an m-16. Matthew looked in another box and pulled at a metal baseball bat. Breanna quickly jumped at one of the boxes and pulled out a new looking rifle with an impressive scope on it. Meghan managed to grab the Axe and Sarah got a glock. We took a minute to play with our new toys.

"Thank god! We really needed this!" Breanna exclaimed as she loaded her new rifle. I swung my sword and tore a hole in the tent.

"Tell me about!" Ace replied to Breanna. I pulled my pistol out and switched it for a newer looking one. We all calmed down about our new weapons and headed towards the entrance. We remained silent and banged on the door leading inside. Nothing came outside. We all gave each other a look. We knew exactly what to do. Our normal groups broke into smaller groups of two and we headed outside. Matthew stayed outside and guarded the entrance. Ace and I headed down one of the aisles as Ben and Breanna headed down another. Meghan and Sarah decided to check out the register area. The shelves were bare and empty except for the occasional can of food. Ace was behind me making sure nothing crept up on us. We reached the end of the aisle and kept checking the others until we reached the end of the market. Our backpacks were filled with leftover cans of food and some medical suplies

"Okay let's head back-" Ace was interrupted by a scream coming towards Sarah and Meghan's location. We hurried over to them and was greeted by six zombies feasting on Sarah's corspe. She had a bag of chips in her hand. Meghan was getting chased by three zombies. We shot at them and killed all of them. Meghan looked relieved but started to cry when she realized what happened to Sarah. I pulled my sword out and decapitated one of the feasting zombies. Ace shot two in head and Matthew ran inside and finished the final three with his bat. Ben and Breanna stared at the mess. Breanna quickly picked up her rifle and fired a shot at Sarah's head. We all stood there silently but Breanna ran to the back of the store in tears. Ben followed her. We lost another person. I held Ace's hand and whispered in his ear.

"I can't do this anymore."
