Last Act.

|[January 7th, 2026. Midnight.]|

I walked outside, still leaving my coat on the chair I was previously sitting at. Phew... I'm actually mingling with new people, and more than five minutes! That's a record. Still, all that talking made my social battery drained. I just gotta have a little bit of 'me' time.

Right next to the door, there was a wooden bench oddly stuck to the Inn's front wall. I sat down and leaned my back, my hair touching the window behind me and my eyes gazed up upon the dark skies.

There's not much up there... The streetlights mostly make up all the shine in this floor. Though, it is nice for the eyes to rest on, this whole floor is designed based on a 'Dark Night' town idea after all.

I remember back in the days, this floor was one of the prettiest. Now it's sorta underwhelming. Since we are playing a fairy-type fantasy game, pretty views and beautifully carved surroundings are normal everywhere.

The huge city of Alne for example, the biggest neutral grounds for players in all of ALO. First time I walked through those gates, I was more than impressed with how they managed to create such intricate buildings. No, SAO didn't have that much care in design than ALO.

Yeah, yeah, some towns such as the 4th floor's was a really nice touch from the devs... But that still couldn't compare to ALO's pure fantasy architecture.

"Heyyy!! You still here?"

I was dozing off when Yuuki closed in on my face, waving her hand.

"Ah!" I lightly jumped, "Miss Yuuki?! What- what's up?"

"Jeez~ if you keep doing that, how are you going to focus on the big fight?" She teased me, "And please, call me Yuuki! You did that earlier in the battle anyhow, why go back to being formal all of a sudden?"

Just when I was alone... But you know what, why not. A loud girl like her will start all sorts of conversations, probably. I just gotta sit, listen, and answer... Carefully. She is a girl, don't want her to be creeped out or something...

"Sure." I mumbled, "Plus, you're one to talk. I remember your face when I swept you off the ground! It looked like you were hit in the head by a football, haha!"

"Oh, riiight~ you did do that! That's not fair, I didn't see it coming at all!"

"And I didn't see it coming when the girl I'm fighting against jumps, leaps, and flips every attack she does! Really, I couldn't even see you half the time Yuuki."

She scoffs, "Eh~? That just means that I'm better than you, ehe!"

Ahaha, Talking to a girl, huh? What the hell has my life gone to now. Still, I'm happy. Never did have this much fun talking to girls, in fact... I've never really talked to any except for Asuna and the many other girls that's with Kirito. Scratch that, I only talk to Asuna and no one else...

"So... You have an OSS too?" I ask, awkwardly.

"Mhmm! Mother's Rosario." She answered, "Sounds pretty weird, huh? I came up with all of it myself one day, boy was I surprised when I nailed it."

"No joke. It's the big deal nowadays, since that new update the devs released. And yours is probably the most amount of hits I've ever seen in an OSS out of any players."

"Ehehe, really?" Yuuki shyly brushes her hair.

"Yeah. I also heard that you've never used it against anyone in your past duels, why did you decided to use it on me?"
