Violet decided that she didn't need to spend the rest of the afternoon with Jerry. So, what she did was use the buzzer and told her cousin that she was meeting him down there because she and Neddy we're going to go out for dinner. (Even though the pair weren't at all, but Jerry didn't need to know the real reason behind her absent.)
"Hey, Violet. I'm wondering if you wanted to hang out this afternoon."
"No, can do Jerry. I'm going with Neddy for ... um dinner."
"You mean Ned?" Jerry asked. His brown eyes glancing to Neddy.
"Yep."
Neddy waved shyly.
"Are you two an item?"
"No, it's just a work dinner thing. Isn't it Neddy?" Violet asked sweetly.
"Um, yeah a work dinner," Neddy said not at all sounding confident.
"Oh."
"Yep, by Jerry."
"Wait, Violet."
She took Neddy by the arm and dragged him off away from her flat building.
"Wasn't that a big hash?" Neddy asked the moment the two made enough distance between them and Jerry.
"No, it's payback for what he did this morning."
"I thought Younkin erased his memories of that."
"Okay, then it's payback for what he did this morning."
Poor Neddy looked hopeless lost.
"Look even if Younkin erased his memories about the session Jerry forced me to go to. It doesn't mean I've forgotten about it."
"So, your grumpy at a poor man that doesn't know any better?"
"Yes," Violet confirmed happily.
"Huh, anyway I will go look for the other agents. You cool with the fisher man?"
"Yeah. Some dude with a straw hat, right?"
"Yep, fisher men down at the port."
"I'll call you when I find this other base."
"You think I can sleep in that base for a while?"
"Serious, Neddy?" Violet asked hands on her hip and knowing very well what her friend wanted to do.
"What? I still get nightmares about the time my little cousin came to visit us and she talked about angels and how cool they we're. And, mum went of her head saying not to worship them that she was meant to worship God only otherwise she will be sent to hell. My cousin was five who only said angels are so cool and my mum hasn't let that go since. It's been three years Violet. Three years since that happened. And, I came home saying I had magic with actual proof."
Neddy mother was unstable for the most part especially if you said something she didn't agreed to.
"If it, failures you can always crash at my flat."
"Thanks, Violet. I'll catch you later," Neddy said turning around and waving as he dashed off down the street.
Violet huffed as she looked at the busy road knowing she would have to cross it again, but than her brown eyes glanced up to the ramp that Neddy and her had taken moments ago. A smile on her face she ran up the street and into the shops she took the steps and made a right turn for the ramp only to pause. Something felt off.
Raising an eyebrow, she noticed everyone around her was frozen in time. That couldn't be right. She didn't say switch and switching only worked if you said the word, but then as if nothing had happened people started walking and talking again. Pulling out her phone she dotted down her experience in notes, along with location, time and date with a short reminded saying make sure to tell Agent Smith.
