3RD PERSON

Rhianna and Sofia were bullied since they were in 1st and 3rd grade. People found out that their mom works at that small shop, their dad is alcoholic, their mom gave birth to Rhianna when she was 19 and besides all of that, their skin is darker than the kids around them.

They were hiding it for a bit, until Rhianna came home with her clothes and back pack completely wet. Water was basically dripping from her, even after she tried to dry it a little. That's when Sasha got to know what is happening to her daughters. She wanted to go to principal, but Rhianna and Sofia wouldn't allow her. And then Sasha asked Joseph to switch them in a different school, but it was obvious that he wasn't going to let that happen.

So that's why two girls were currently sitting alone at the lunch table, eating some oranges that their mom managed to ge to get on the work as it was surplus.

"Hey, can we sit here?" A beautiful girl asked Rhianna and Sofia, making them look up.

It was two girls that they were seeing around last few days, but never knew who they are.

Rhianna and Sofia looked at each other, before nodding their heads.

"Yeah."
"Thanks."
"I'm Phoebe, and this is my younger sister Sara."
"I'm Rhianna."
"And I'm Sofia."
"Which grades are you guys?"
"6th grade."
"I'm 8th."
"Oh, I'm 8th too."
"And I'm 7th."
"Can you see my schedule? Maybe we have same classes." Phoebe offered to Rhianna, making her nod.

"We have nearly all same classes. Except that on Tuesday only art is same and on Thursday you have history and I have PE."
"That's great! We can go together. I mean, if you want to, of course."
"Sure. Um, I don't wanna be rude but why are you guys sitting with us?"
"Well, we don't really know anyone here. And we noticed you guys sitting alone so we decided to join. Since every table is full."
"Oh, so no one sent you?"
"Huh? No? What do you mean?"
"Oh, nothing. Just forget."
"You guys moved here recently?" Sofia and Rhianna wanted to take a chance to finally make some friends. Maybe these girls won't be like others.

"Yeah, this week. But we've been kinda spening our lunches in toilet. Kids here aren't that welcoming. It was only few people that we talked to. And they probably don't even know our names."
"Yeah, well, get used to it. Everyone around us is trash person."
"Why?"
"They all think they're better than others."
"They seem like it. Kids in my grade are awful." Sara said, leaning in front so no one would hear her.

——

Four girls fell into a conversation. It was the first time since second grade that girls had fun in school. Well, at least it was until bell decided go start ringing, meaning that it's time for classes.

"Well, it's time for classes." Rhianna and Phoebe walked off together after saying bye to Sara and Sofia.

Girls couldn't wait to tell their mom that they finally made friends after five years of getting bullied every day.

"Hey, do you have Instagram or something? I'd like to be able to text you. You and your sister seem like really good people."
"Uh, I don't really have socials."
"Oh, well is there any possible ways for me to text you? Do you have a number or something?"
"Uh, I do have a number. I'll give it to you later because I don't know it."
"Okay. That's okay."

——

"Hey girls. Someone's smiley today, huh?"
"Yes. We made friends."
"Really? Who are they?"
"Some girls moved to the town."
"One goes in my grade and other one is between Sof and me."
"That's awesome girls. I'm so happy for you."
"Yeah."

Girls started ranting how they met with their friends and how they look like and everything. It made Sasha so happy. Her kids have already been put through enough. They deserve happiness.

Once they arrived home, they had eggs for lunch. Which isn't really food for lunch but it's only thing they had. It's what Sasha asked her neighbor to give them. She has chickens and has always been there to give them food to survive. Because she knew Joseph since he was little and she could hear everything that happened in the house.

——

"Momma, I wanted to ask you."
"Yes?"
"M-my friend asked me if there's any way she could text me and stuff. So I was wondering if I could give her your phone number."
"Sure. Take a paper so you could write it down."
"Okay, thank you." Rhianna smiled before running back to her room.

Joseph never let them have a phone. Even the phone Sasha has is really old. One time, Sasha managed to save money to buy phone for girls to use together and you might be wondering what happened. Well, Joseph took it and sell it. Where money went? To buying alcohol.

Sasha doesn't even have her credit card. She doesn't ger anything from her payment. Just the smallest part of it to buy bread or something to eat when everything runs out, or once in 6 months to buy kids some clothes. And that considers thrifted pair of jeans and shirt for each of them. The rest of clothes they get from some of their neighbors and friends.

Rhianna wrote down Sasha's number on paper to give her new friend tomorrow before going back in her room to do her homework.

"Yes?" Sasha answered her boss on the phone. Please don't tell me I'm fired. Sasha prayed as she answered the phone.

"Hey, Sasha. I'm sorry I'm calling late. I just wanted to inform you that we are going to have a meeting tomorrow. It will be around 12:30pm so it's between two shifts. Okay?"
"Okay. May I know what's it about?"
"We'll talk about it tomorrow."
"Okay."
"Goodbye." Sasha hung up, placing her phone back in her pocked, before taking it out again.

"Hey T."
"Hey, what's up?"
"I just called to ask if you are invited to the meeting tomorrow?"
"Oh, yeah. Mike just called me."
"Do you know what's it about?"
"I don't know. Hopefully something good."
"I hope too."
