3RD PERSON
"So how was it?"
"It was good. Nothing too special. She's nice."
"She's nice? C'mon Jaden, it's me. I gotta know everything." Jaden chuckled as he shook his head."What do you want me to say? Yeah, I fell in love with her after one dinner and I wanna marry her?" He asked in mocking tone.
"She's nice, I don't know. I had fun with her."
"I'm glad you had fun. Thats what you deserve. What all did you do?"
"No, Madeline, we did not do that. We only went to dinner. I drove her back home, we agreed that we should do it again some time and that's all. She invited me inside, I said I can't because I gotta go home and check on my kids and that's all. But it wasn't that type of invite, it was more her being polite because I drove her to her home."
"I didn't even think you did that. I know you. I thought maybe you kissed or something. Went somewhere else after restaurant, I don't know."
"No, we really didn't."
"Okay.""She's gonna come on Gordon's place in two weeks. He's retiring and moving to Michigan."
"No shit."
"Yeah. And she heard that once he is gone from Texas Jimmy and Jason are going down. Because they would've arrested them long time ago for everything they've done, but they had Gordon to protect them. So now they won't, and it's all over for them."
"That's great!"
"It is. She told me she is hoping in a month, two of them will already be charged."
"Yeah. That's great."
"But even if they don't get charged, I know they will let Joseph for just little money."
"A-a Jaden. Don't do that. Just wait for a month and see what's going to happen and then we'll figure it out."
"I know, I'm gonna wait. But I'm just saying."——
After he was done with his breakfast with Madeline, they went back to their work.
Jaden was thinking so much about saving Wilson's, that he wasn't sure if that was even normal. He couldn't sleep at night sometimes just because of that.
And if he saves them, he will be so happy and so proud of himself.
"You know that nowadays everyone has one abusive person in a family?" Adam interrupted Jaden's thoughts, making him turn around.
"What?"
"I'm just saying, everyone has an abuser in their family. You just don't get to see it. Would you go from home to home to try to save every person that's being abused?"
"No, but if someone opened up to me about it, of course I'm going to do everything I can to help them. She didn't open up to me just because she wanted to have a conversation. She opened up because she wanted someone to know. It was her scream for help. And you don't get it because you don't care. But I get it. She feels so hopeless under his influence and she knows she needs to get out but doesn't know how. And no matter if she tells me that she doesn't want my help, I know that deep down she is hoping I actually do help her. And so I'm not going to give up on that."
"Okay."Jaden was maybe being overly protective and maybe even rude. But he was so sick of people not caring that someone is being absued. Are they scared of something happening to them? Because if they are scared something can happen to them, you can only imagine what is actually happening to person that is abused.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Mr. Hossler. It's Holly Bridget here, school counselor. I'm calling to inform you that there was a little accident with Phoebe and her friend Rhianna."
"What do you mean?" Jaden immediately tensed up, sitting up on the chair."Well, few kids decided to spill water on them right before the teacher walked in. Phoebe told me she wanted me to inform you."
"Jesus, are they okay?"
"Their clothes are soaking and it ruined their big project."
"What the- Okay, I will come to pick them up."
"I'm sorry, you can only pick up your daughter. Her friend said she doesn't want me to call her parents, and so due to fact that there is no one confirming you being able to pick her up, I can't let her go out of school."
"It shouldn't even be a question if her clothes are soaked. I'm coming right now."
