3RD PERSON
Sasha has avoided every single contact she had with Jaden for the whole week, scared that he might pull her aside to continue their conversation.
Jaden continued going to their store, smiling and talking. But Sasha always made sure she wouldn't be in a position where he could continue their conversation. But he never even tried.
Jaden was very polite man, very down to eath and careful with his words. He wasn't even planning on pulling that conversation while Sasha is on the work.
And he knew there was no party soon that could give him a chance to spend alone time with Sasha.
Jaden's kids wanted to invite Wilson's over again, but Jaden wasn't sure if he should let them.
Not because of the fact that he knows that their dad isn't really all that, but because he was scared that he knew that it's probably Sasha that pays the price of that. And whether it was sexually or physically, he was sure she gets abused for that.
"Dad, what's up?" Phoebe asked as she was watching her dad for few minutes being lost in his thoughts while she was washing dishes.
"Nothing really." Jaden said as he wrapped his arms around his daughter when she sat on the couch beside him and leaned on his chest.
"I know something's up. I see you all lost in your thoughts. I know I'm your daughter, but like you always say your problem is my problem too. And it's better to share with someone than to keep it to yourself."
"You're my little comforter. You know?" Jaden looked down at his daughter, small smile peaking on his face."I know. But I'm being serious dad. I want to know what's bothering you." Phoebe looked up at her dad with worried look on her face. That made Jaden sigh as he debated whether or not to tell her.
"Secret stays between me and you. And you can tell Sof later, but make sure she keeps it a secret."
"Okay."
"It's something connected to your friends." Jaden stated, making Phoebe sit up on the couch so she oculd look at her dad."O-oh. What is it?"
"So, recently I found out, and then Sasha told me about it. About their life at home."
"And?"
"Well, their dad is abusive alcoholic." Phoebe's eyes widened in shock. She knew Wilson's don't have the best life, but she didn't know it's that bad."Abusive? Like, beats them up?"
"Yeah, mentally and physically abusive. It was like that before kids were even born. He doesn't let them eat normally, he doesn't allow them phones or internet, and lot more stuff."
"O-oh." Phoebe's eyes filled with tears as she looked down. She is a very emotional person and she doesn't need too long to start crying. Especially about situations like that."C'mere. Don't cry baby." Jaden hugged her again, kissing over her temple few times.
"I- I thought all of that is because they don't really have money. Not that they're getting abused." She whispered, making Jaden sigh, before continuing to explain everything.
"Well, it's also sort of because of that. I mean, he takes Sasha's whole payment and gives them only few dollars."
"Oh God, that's awful."
"I know."They sat in silence for few minutes, before Phoebe speaked up again.
"And why that has you so distracted past weeks?"
"Because I need to find a way to help them. I can't let them stay and live life like that." Phoebe looked up at her dad, a very obvious thing coming up on her mind."What if we just report him?"
"I talked to Mads. There's no point of that, because it could only worsen up their lives. Joseph has his people in police and he got reported quite a bit of times and none of them had him stay for even two days." Jaden explained playing with his daughters hair."Shit. Well, can't Mads help in it?"
"She was trying to. Few times she was basically begging Sasha to report him, but Sasha never did."
"Dude, that's just stupid. She's stupid! I-" Phoebe got mad, frustrated and jumped up on the couch with her hands slightly slamming against the couch."Hey, lower your voice down."
"Sorry. I'm just so mad. She is letting all of that to happen to herself and her kids. Is she stupid? She's a beautiful woman. She could find someone much better to treat her the way she deserves, along with her kids."
"I know, I know P."
"Goddamn. We gotta do something dad." Phoebe gripped on her dad's shirt as she laid back on the bed."Listen, I told you this so you just know not to press Rhianna and Sofia about home life, or why they can't go out, or why they don't have a phone. Alright? It's not your job to save them from that monster."
"But I wanna help dad." Phoebe slightly whined, gripping tighter on her dad."I know. And you're already helping them with being their friend. They need friends, someone that can make them happy. Be there for them. And the thing they will find most important to hear if they ever open up about that is that what their father is doesn't change who they are. Okay? Just like you told me few minutes ago."
"I know, okay. But can you promise that if you find a way to help them you'll tell me?"
"I will. I promise." Jaden said, kissing his daughter's temple and forehead again."Okay, I'm going to continue watching my show. I'll talk to you later. Bye-bye."
"Bye-bye. Tell Connor to come here, please." Jaden said, making Phoebe mumble a 'okay' as she walked away.Jaden waited few minutes on the couch until Connor beamed in.
"Hey dad." He jumped up in front of his dad with a smile of his face.
"Hey buddy. C'mon, it's time for your syrup."
"Oh, okay." Jaden gave Connor his syrup for allergies with a glass of water before Connor joined him in watching TV."What's wrong Astor? You wanna go on walk buddy?" Jaden asked their dog, patting his head. Astor continued whining, making Jaden get up from the couch.
"Okay, we're going for a walk. You wanna come, C?" Jaden questioned as he put on his jacket and found Astor' s leash.
"Yeah." Connor smiled brightly at his dad, nodding his head.
"Go get dressed." Connor ran off to his room to get dressed into clothes that fit with the weather with Astor running behind him. Jaden, on the other hand, went to Phoebe's and Sara's room to inform them thatbthey are leaving."Hey, Connor and I are going on a walk with Astor." Jaden creaked the doors of Phoebe's room opened, peaking his head in.
"Okay. Have fun." Jaden chuckled before he left the room."Hey PP, what's up?" Jaden asked as he stood at Sara's doorway. Sara was laying down on the floor and staring at the laptop.
"I'm just doing some quiz. Why?"
"Connor and I are going to take a walk with Astor. Okay?"
"Okay. Can you lock the doors?"
"Kay. We'll be back soon."Jaden put on Astor's leash and got on his shoes. Connor and Jaden left the house with their dog and locked the front doors.
"We're we going?" Connor asked as he jumped around, walking down the street.
"Let's go around the block."
"Can we go to Sasha's shop? I want a lollipop." Connor made his best puppy eyes, looking up at his dad. Jaden shook his head, chuckle leaving his mouth.
"The one that leaves your tongue purple?"
"Ye." Jaden mumbled a 'okay', making a big white smile appear on Connor's face. They walked down the steet, talking. Connor tried to tell Jaden some jokes that he heard, but they actually weren't that funny at all.
Once they made it to Sasha's shop, Jaden gave Connor a dollar to buy his lollipop, telling him to leave the change. Jaden opened the doors for him, making Sasha smile.
"Look who we have here for nearly end of my shift." Sasha smiled at the little boy in front of her.
"Hey Sasha."
"Hey Connor. Hi Jaden."
"Hey." Jaden smiled and waved, waiting at the doors for Connor to quickly buy his lollipop."See ya." Jaden waved at Sasha, making her wave back as she watched them walk away from the store.
"Jaden!" Sasha hurried out of the shop, making Jaden and Connor turn around.
"Hey, is something wrong?"
"I, uh, can I just talk to you for a second?" Sasha mumbled, making Jaden not his head. She knew she had to talk to him, but she just didn't have the courage to.
"Yeah. C, can you just keep Astor for a minute?" Connor nodded his ehad, staying few feet away from his dad.╚════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════╝
