3RD PERSON
"I don't know, Madi." Jaden said, leaning back in the chair.
Currently, Madeline and Jaden were in a café. Both of them were actually on their lunch break on the work. Thankfully, working in the good places, they get half of hour so they had enough time to meet up in café.
"I literally can't believe that she even got herself into something like that. There was a time of my life where our parents were friends so we'd have to hang out almost every weekend. She was never raised in household like that she is now. They were wealthy, maybe not that much but they had enough to never struggle with money. Her dad was very respectful man, honestly. They would argue time to time, but he has never hit her or her mom. She was raised to be a very independent woman. And then she got involved with him and their parents were so much against it, that as soon as she married him they started losing contact. Because of Joseph. Do you know how much everyone tried to make her not marry him? Nothing worked, Jaden." Madeline explained with a sad look on her face.
"I know, but once you fall into that you are brought so down, Mads. And I understand her to some point. That she can't leave him, because she is so scared and this and that, but I'm just not going to let her live that way. Not her, not her kids. You know how much this grosses me out? Everything that she told me is just so disgusting." Jaden's arms crossed over his chest as he looked out of the window of the café.
"I know, Jaden. But if she is not down to spill everything out, there's nothing we can do about it." Jaden sighed once again, taking sip of his coffee, "But Jaden, really, don't try anything if we don't talk before and she doesn't let you."
"Okay."
"Jae, I'm serious."
"Okay, Madi, I know you are. I won't."
Jaden was so frustrated that he couldn't do anything about Wilson's family situation. He wished it was at least a little less complicated and he would help them easily.
"Where are her parents?" Jaden asked, wondering if he could go talk to Sasha's parents.
"They're dead for years now."
"How did they die?"
"It was snow and their car slipped off the road. It was obvious that it was an accident. But when the scene of the accident was inspected, it was discovered that brakes were cut off and there were problems with steering wheel. And guess what? Those things couldn't just accidentally happen. And guess who was the policeman that went on the scene?" Madeline leaned on the table, waiting for Jaden to answer.
"Jimmy and Jason?" Jaden already knew the answer to this, and his heart beat was already increasing.
"Of course, Jimmy."
"How didn't they- oh, they either left that part out or it was judge Gordon." Jaden nodded his head, lookinh out of the window again.
"Yes. It was no where near the accident, Jaden. And no one ever talked about it. And who do you think did it?"
"Joseph."
"Yeah, right after I talked to her parents about them reporting him to the police. They actually did it, and then a day later a 'car accident' happens. It's either Joseph or Jimmy and Jason that killed them."
"What the fuck is this? I swear I feel like I'm in a fucking movie right now."
It was too much going on right now for Jaden. He couldn't believe what all he has heard in past weeks. From getting physically and emotionally abused, your husband taking yiur payments away, starving you and your kids, sexually abusing you for over a decade, killing your parents. And that monster is still walking on the streets, along with other people that are supposed to keep you safe. Not to keep safe the maniacs.
"I'm telling you Jaden. You don't want to fucking deal with them. And that's what Sasha meant that you don't know what happens after you try something."
"I don't fucking care. You understand that?"
"Jaden!" Madeline whisper-yelled, taking his hand in her and squeezing it to make sure he knows she is serious, "You can't do it. Alright? You don't know these people. They are probably capable of doing more stuff than we know. You can't do anything until we get at least Judge from the court. It's easy to get down Jimmy and Jason with a little money."
"Okay, I won't do anything. I promise. Until we figure it out." Jaden almost rolled his eyes at the woman that is like a sister to him.
He was sick of people being all scared. He was sick that everybody knew what is going on and never cared to actually do something to help those innocent kids and woman.
"We have 7 more minutes. Shall we get going?" Jaden checked his watch after few minutes of silence.
"Yeah. Maybe we should go on a dinner one time soon. Like, Rick, kids, you and I. We haven't done that in long."
"We'll talk about it. Sara told me she got a project next week, I'm not sure if there's a lot to do or not." Jaden said as he paid for their coffees.
"That's okay, we'll figure it out."
"Yeah. I'll see you Madi."
"See you." They gave each other a quick hug before going to their cars and leaving back to their offices.
——
Jaden walked from the elevator to his desk, dropping his stuff on it before sitting down on his chair.
He then realized that kids last night made cookies, and made him bring some on the work with him. He took the box and opened it, taking a cookie out.
Taking a bite of it, he zoned out as he was moving his chair from left to right while he held the cookie in his hand.
"Ayo, Jaden. You alright?" Adam's voice made Jaden zone back in, looking up at him.
"What's up man? You look really stressed."
"It's nothing. Just- It's nothing. Nevermind." Jaden shook his head, knowing he'll only get more mad if he starts talking about it.
"No, tell me, what's going on?"
"I've talked to Madi about, you know, Sasha, and so I'm really stressed about it."
"Oh."
"Anyway, you want a cookie?" Jaden tried changing the subject, trying to take Wilson's off his mind.
"What are they from?" Adam cocked a brow as he looked in Jaden's box.
"Chocolate."
"Why didn't you ask earlier?" Adam took a cookie from the box before sitting back in his chair again.
"See, man, what I think about it is that you're down bad for that woman. But you're onto your respectful shit, so you're never gonna get her if she doesn't divorce him." Adam stated, looking at Jaden and trying to hide a smirk. He was thinking about it for a while, but as of right now he just wanted to try to take away Jaden's mind of who is the next person he'll talk to about helping Sasha. But he didn't know he would only make Jaden more mad.
"See, man, what I think is that you should really go and fuck yourself. Seriously, like, if you have nothing smart to say don't say anything. And I know you for over 10 years and so far you've never said a smart thing." Jaden's eyes shot through Adam. He really needed to find a place with boxing bag to get his anger out or he thought he would actually punch someone.
"So you don't want me to ever speak again? Okay, best friend, okay." Adam nodded his head, turning to his computer.
"Adam, I'm fucking serious. I can't even make a conversation with you if you don't make a 'joke' about getting with someone."
"Look man, I'm sorry. I was just trying to make you laugh or something. You're too grumpy about something that does not involve you. You should just leave it alone." Jaden rolled his eyes as he got back to his computer and got back to working.
But he wasn't going to give up on those poor kids and woman. No way.
