3RD PERSON

"Thanks man, I'll see you tonight." Jaden tapped Roderick's shoulder, picking up his keys and kissing Connor's head.

"Of course. Have fun." Roderick winked at Jaden, making Jaden laugh as he walked out of the doors and closed them.

He got in his car and drove off to Linda's house where he would pick her up for their third dinner date. Beside evening dates, they would meet up on their lunch breaks and go together to get coffee or something to eat. So they were growing closer.

"Hey, c'mon in, I'm not completely ready yet." Linda chuckled nervously, embracing Jaden in quick hug.

"Oh, okay." Jaden walked inside, turning around to look at Linda.

"Sorry, my mom needed some help and I kinda got stuck up on that and didn't have enough time to get ready." Linda nervously rambled, feeling embarrassed that she is late.

"Hey, it's okay."
"Get comfortable, please sip yourself a drink or something, I would do it but I'm trying to hurry."
"It's all good, don't worry. Go get ready." Jaden smiled at her, letting her walk away to her room as he sat on the couch.

Jaden looked around, getting up to see some of Linda's pictures on the wall.

There was few kids with her on few photos, few photos of them alone.

He wondered who's kids they are, since he knows Linda doesn't have kids of her own.

"Hey, I'm ready."
"Oh hey. Sorry, it just kinda drew my attention." Jaden turned around where Linda stood.

"It's all good, don't worry. It's nothing you can't look at obviously when it's on my living room wall." Linda chuckled as she ran her hand through her hair.

"You look beautiful."
"You don't look too bad yourself, Mitchell." Jaden smiled as he secretly checked out Linda's body.

"Okay, so are we ready to go?"
"Yeah. Unless you wanna stay here for the rest of the night."
"I'm sure you didn't get ready to stay in." Jaden chuckled as two of them went out of the house.

"Thank you." Linda smiled as Jaden opened the doors for her, letting her sit in the car.

He smiled politely before he walked over to his seat.

"So who are those kids on your wall? You seem to have a lot of pictures."
"Oh, yeah, those are my brother's kids. We are really close."
"Oh, I didn't know you had a brother."
"Yeah, haven't I mentioned it earlier?" Linda narrowed her eyebrow. It was weird to her that she never mentioned them before, since they are actually very close.

"I'm pretty sure no."
"Oh, maybe we just haven't got to that topic. He's three years older than me. There was a period when he would travel a lot because of his work, so I would usually take care of their kids a lot, since their mom is doctor in a big hospital and sometimes would spend whole days at work. But, he changed his job now, and she owns a clinic now, so they have a lot of time for their kids. I mean, more than they used to."
"Oh, so I'm guessing that's when you really bonded with them?"
"Yeah, that's true."

——

Dinner went great, as any dinner would. And now Jaden was parked in front of Linda's house, supposedly dropping her off.

"Oh, c'mon. This is your third time rejecting me and not wanting to come inside. We'll just get a drink, I have this perfect wine bottle waiting to be opened."
"Okay, it really wouldn't be good if I rejected you for third time, would it?" Jaden smiled, unbuckling the seat belt.
"No." Linda smiled as they got out of the car, walking to the front doors.

They got to the living room, taking off their jackets.

"Ugh, these hills are killing me." Linda groaned as she took off her hills, before walking over to her little bar.

"I bet they are."
"Glasses are up there."

One glass of wine, lead to another one and then another one.

They were talking and laughing, alcohol in their blood having a little influence on their actions.

"But really, I haven't had much fun in a long time like I did with you."
"Me neither." Jaden said as Linda's hand placed on his knee.

He looked down at her hand, before looking up at her to already see her gaze on him.

They stared at each other for few moments, before leaning in and connecting their lips.

Jaden's hand went to the side of her face, holding her as the other one was on the back of the couch.

Linda started slowly laying down as Jaden started hovering over her.

She started to unbutton his shirt as they made out. But Jaden was quick to realize what's happening and to stop things.

"What's wrong?"
"Look, we're both under the influence of little alcohol, I really don't think we should do this. I'm not this type of guy to take advantage of drunk woman."
"You're not taking advantage of me."
"You say that now, but you might not agree tomorrow morning. So, maybe one time when we are completely sober."
"Okay." Linda smiled at him.

Even though she wanted him so badly, she liked him for the fact that he is very respectful and polite.

"Do you wanna stay over tonight?"
"No, I think I'm going to head home now."
"Hey, I'm sorry for what just happened, I didn't mean to press you or anything like that."
"You're not pressing me into anything, Linda. Don't worry, we are completely fine, I just feel like it's a little late and my friend is still taking care of kids so."
"Okay. I understand. Call me tomorrow?"
"I will. Are you working in the morning or afternoon?"
"Afternoon."
"Oh, okay. I'm working the morning shift. Well, I guess I'll see you soon."
"Okay." Linda got up and followed Jaden out of the house.

"Don't come out, it's kinda cold." Jaden kissed Linda's cheek and giving her a quick hug.

"Text me when you get home, so I know you're safe."
"I will. Goodnight."
"Goodnight Jaden." Linda smiled as she watched him walked to his car and sit in.

He waved at her one last time before driving off in his car.

Linda closed the doors, locking them, before walking to her bedroom to get ready for the bed.

——

Jaden parked the car into garage before making his way inside of the house.

"Hello." Jaden said as he walked inside, seeing Roderick on the couch watching TV while Connor was snuggled on his lap, sleeping.

"Hi. I see you had some action going on." Roderick joked, referring to Jaden's first button unbuttoned.

"Oh, not really."
"If you say so." Roderick shrugged as Jaden took off his jacket.

"Are girls in their beds?"
"Should be."
"Okay, I'm gonna check on them and then I'll take Connor to his room."
"Okay. Maybe wipe that lipstick from your lips first, in case girls are awake." Jaden mentally face-palmed himself as he realized he didn't wipe his lips and he knew he must've had some lipstick there.
