Chapter 42

April 18th, 2022

3RD PERSON

"Hey." Jaden walked in the shop with the smile on his face.

"Hey." Serenity smiled at him, nodding her head towards the aisle where Sasha was.

"Hey." Jaden smiled, catching Sasha's attention.

She looked up at him with a smile on her face.

"Heyy." Sasha wrapped her arms around Jaden's torso, inhaling his scent.

Jaden looked around, before bending down and kissing Sasha on her lips quickly.

"What's up?"
"Nothing. I was on my break so I came over to see you." Jaden smiled, leaning on the shelves behind him.

"So, I was thinking. What if your kids come over on Friday night and then I go on a date, leave them alone for some time while we go out on a dinner? Or just in a café or something. Cinema. Wherever you wanna go."
"Uh, sure. Yeah, that sounds good." Sasha's heart immediately started racing fast.

She was never on a date. When she first started seeing Joseph, they would just go to the park or somewhere on the walk.

"Great. But I was wondering when can I see you until Friday?"
"Oh, so you can't make 4-5 days without me?" Sasha teased, making Jaden roll his eyes.
"So what? If you could meet yourself then you'd know it's a real struggle." Sasha laughed, making Jaden let out a chuckle, "What? I'm being serious."

"Sure. I don't know though, I'm scared kids would realize faster if I would go out every day."
"Well, not every day. But I don't want to bother you here too much on the work. It's like twenty minutes a day."
"You're not bothering me here. But I understand you'd rather see me out of the work."
"But it's okay though, I know I'll just have to bother you here time to time until, you know." Sasha chuckled, continuing to change the prices of some stuff.

"Oo is it time to change the prices?"
"Mhmm."
"And how does that work on computer? I always wanted to know that." Jaden asked, following Sasha around the store before she made her way to the computer.

"Come." Jaden walked beside Sasha.

"You wanna sit?"
"No, you can sit. I wanna watch from professional." Jaden teased, making Sasha roll her eyes.

She opened the program on the computer, changing some prices that their boss sent them.

"And it's just like that?" Jaden asked as he looked at Sasha. His hands previously placed themselves on the counter as he leaned over Sasha's shoulders.

"Yeah, what did you think?"
"I don't know, I thought it was more complicated honestly." Sasha chuckled, before Jaden spun her in her chair.

"Even though you look absolutely beautiful and I'd like to spend more time with you, my break if ending soon and I need to head to the office." Jaden said, checking the watch on his arm.

"Awh, alright. I guess I'll see you soon?"
"You will. I'll just appear somewhere unexpectedly."
"Okay then." Sasha smiled, while Jaden placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Bye Serenity!" Jaden waved, opening the doors of the store while Sasha followed after him.

"Have a nice day." Sasha smiled, making Jaden smile too.

"You too. I'll see you." Jaden got into his car and drove off, earning a little wave from Sasha.

"What?" Sasha asked when she saw Serenity staring at her with a smile on her face.

"Nothing."
"What? I see that look on your face."
"So I do yours."
"What look?"
"You look so happy around him."
"I am." Sasha shyly looked down on the floor.

This all scared Sasha so much. She was scared to get into a new relationship. More scared of it turning into what her previous did.

Sure she knew Jaden wasn't that man and he would never do something like that to her or her kids. But there was still some anxiety forming in her body.

She was scared of falling in love, but she was afraid she wasn't far away from it.

"You're in love, aren't you?" Serenity asked, pulling Sasha's chin up with her finger.

Sasha quickly shook her head, avoiding her eye contact with Serenity.

Customer walked in, saving Sasha from this talk.

Next few hours they somehow had customers always in the store, not giving Serenity space to talk to Sasha about their previous talk.

"You know, I will just let you come to me when you feel like you want to. I think you need time to figure it on your own. But if you want to talk to me, I'm here." Serenity said, making Sasha nod her head.

"But when you start dating him, you won't leave me? I just need the confirmation."
"I would never. I love you, T."
"I love you too." Sasha kissed Serenity's cheek, as two of them changed into their clothes, since their coworkers arrived little earlier today.

"Oh, mom, what are you doing here?"
"Our coworkers arrived earlier today, so I thought I'd pick you guys up here."
"Thank goodness, because I was thinking I would pee myself." Denton said as his sister helped him buckle up his seat belt.

Sasha parked car in front of house, hearing someone honk.

"Sashaa!" Phoebe opened the window, before deciding to run out of the car while Jaden didn't even stop it yet.

"Phoebe, are you normal?" Sasha said, seeing Jaden almost pissed in the car, but at the same time terrified by the way his daughter just ran out of the car.

"I had to catch you up. Please, I know it's Monday, but can you all come over tonight?"
"I don't know about that, did you ask your dad."
"Not yet."
"Phoebe Mitchell, are you fucking normal?" Jaden got out of the car, walking up to his daughter once he parked the car.

"Sorry, I had to." Jaden slightly slapped the back of Phoebe's head, but it wasn't really that hard at all.

"Dad, can they come over tonight?"
"Sasha and kids?"
"No, this grandma next doors. Yes, Sasha, Rhianna, Sofia and Denny."
"I don't know, can they?" Jaden asked, looking at Sasha, making her smile.

"I guess I'll have to think about it."
"Alright, 6pm our house, love you." Phoebe hugged Sasha, making her laugh.

"You guys wanna come inside?"
"No, I have to clean my room now." Phoebe ran off to Rhianna and Sofia, hugging them, rambling about their hangout tonight.

"She's a little hyper." Sasha chuckled, looking up at Jaden.

"A little. She scared the shit out of me when she jumped out of the car."
"I bet she did. Well, I guess I will see you tonight."
"You will." Jaden smiled, before Phoebe walked back to him.

"Okay, we can go home now."
"Alright. I'll see you tonight." Jaden said, waving at kids and Sasha before getting in the car.
