3RD PERSON

Madeline:
Jason's dead.

Jaden's eyes widened as he read the message while waiting for his kids outside the school.

It's so wrong to be glad someone is dead, and Jaden knew it. But he couldn't help himself.

"Hello!" Kids opened the doors of the car, sitting in. Jaden quickly turned off his phone as he turned around to look at all three of his kids.

"Hey guys. What's up? How was school?"
"Meh. It was fine."
"You seem a little off. Everything alright?" Phoebe asked, kissing her dad's cheek.
"Yeah, yeah. It's all good." Jaden smiled as he turned on the engine and drove off.

"Can we stop by to get gums?" Connor asked when they were near Sasha's shop.

"You are really eating too much of them. You'll get rotten teeth." Jaden said as he parked in front of shop and took his wallet.

"Hey ladies."
"Hey Jaden." Serenity and Sasha smiled at him.

"What are we getting today?"
"Three packs of those gums." Jaden said, making Sasha chuckle as she checked them out.

"Thank you so much."
"Wait wait, what's this?" Serenity turned up a little TV when she saw news about car accident.

"Policeman, Jason Wilson was in car accident. He died." Jaden said as he looked at Sasha, before leaving to the doors.

"Your change-"
"It's all good." Jaden smiled, nodding his head before leaving.

"There you go guys." Jaden sat in the car, handing each of his kids pack of their gums.

"What the hell happened?" Sasha mumbled as she walked closer to the TV.

"Sash." Serenity mumbled as she saw person that she despised the most on this earth standing right in front of their store.

"Hu-"
"I need your car keys." Joseph stumbled into the store, making Sasha turn around and realize how Serenity was trying to warn her.

"But you don't even have a license."
"Did I fucking ask?" Joseph started getting mad, making Sasha immediately turn around and grab her keys, handing them to Joseph.

"I'm going, Jason's dead."
"I know."

Joseph took candy from the shelf and walked out of the shop.

Sasha sighed, checking out the same candy and putting the change Jaden previously gave them back.

"Did we just see Joseph in our car?" Rhianna walked inside of the shop, her siblings following behind.

"Yes. Jason died."
"Ha." Rhianna chuckled, making her mom glare at her while Sofia tried to contain herself.

"What happened to that shithead?"
"Don't talk like that, Ry. He got into car crash and died on the surgery table." Sasha whispered, so Denton wouldn't hear her really.

"Karma's a bitch."
"Rhianna." Sasha warned, making Rhianna shrug her shoulders.

"I'll give you guys a ride home."
"Thank you, T." They all got in car once Sasha's and Serenity's coworkers came.

"Okay, I'll see you guys soon. Update me on what happens."
"I will. Thanks for ride." Sasha and kids got out, walking inside of their home.

"I'm putting lunch to heat up. I doubt your dad will be here whole day."
"Okay."
"Thank God."

"I can't believe what I just heard." Madeline said as she called Jaden on the phone.

"What happened?"
"I just heard someone talked to Gordon, and he said he doesn't really care about Jason. Only reason he was protecting Jason is because he knows Jimmy is too stupid to stay alone with him. Now that Jason's dead, he is going to make Jimmy leave to Michigan with him so he could protect him."
"Well, you did say Jimmy wouldn't know how to breathe if Jason didn't tell him to inhale."
"Yeah. Now everything's over."
"Not a great moment to say it really, but it's great news honestly."
"Yes. Soon, we'll make a anonymous report on domestic violence and then we just have to get Sasha to talk. We'll talk about this more soon."
"Yes. Okay, call me later."
"Will do."

Jaden placed his phone on kitchen counter, closing his eyes for a moment to think about everything.

"Dad?" Phoebe's soft voice filled the first floor of the house as she walked near her dad.

"Yeah sweetie?"
"What's wrong? Whole day you seem tensed up and always on your phone. What are you up to?"
"Don't worry about it baby. Everything's okay."
"Dad, c'mon. I'm old enough." Pheobe sat up on the kitchen counter and looked at ther dad.

"Okay. You know how we talked that I want to help Sasha divorce her husband and help them out of that situation?"
"Yeah."
"And so you know there was few people on the way of that. Well, the judge is retiring just today and he was supposed to move to Michigan, and then they would arrest two cop brothers. But, today, one of those brothers, worse one, died in car accident. So judge is taking other brother with him, and then there will be no one on the way. And on top of that, Linda is getting on judges place."
"That's great. I mean, poor man, but those are great news for your little operation."
"Yeah." Jaden wrapped his arms around Phoebe, placing a kiss on her head.

"They bullied us today in school, again." Phoebe almost whispered, making Jaden sigh.

"What happened baby?"
"They were saying that Rhianna has bad influence on me and that she is only using me. Because we are 'rich' and she is 'poor', has alcoholic father and has darker skin than most of the kids in school." Phoebe rambled, making Jaden's brows furrow.

"That's not nice. I doubt it's that way. Your friendship seems genuine to me."
"I know. But they were throwing food at her and also Sofia, and proceeded to throw some at Sara and me."
"God, that's awful. I'm going to go to school tomorrow-"
"Please don't. It'll only get worse then."
"But Phoebe, we can't let them do that to both of you."
"Please dad. Just let it be, it will pass eventually. Please."
"You promise you will tell me everything?"
"I will."
"Okay."

Jaden kissed Phoebe's head multiple times, before taking the lunch out of oven.
