3RD PERSON
"Listen, I got something to tell you." Jaden said, making Sasha immediately tense up as she looked at him.
"What is it?"
"You don't have to tense up. I just wanted to tell you a have a work offer for you. They are looking for a type of receptionist in a company that the man I know owns. Basically what you do is simply get schedule of meetings in the building, and when someone comes you lead them where they need to, or like call the person that they need to talk to to ask if you can let them in. Things like that, you know. And the payment is good. I mean, it's not like you would get if you were a manager of company, but you know."
"I, uh,"
"Don't tell me you don't want it. It's a great job. You won't need to carry around heavy stuff. You simply sit or stand few hours a day in a nice, cleaned and modern building and just lead people or give them offers. You would maybe even have a one more person working there with you."
"I get it, but I don't want to get a job just because I have someone who knows the boss or whoever. And besides that, I wasn't looking for another job."
"They won't need to know you're there because I told you about it. Of course, if I told him that I got a woman that is interested and talk about you a little, it would raise your chances of getting new job. But I get it why you don't want that. You could simply just call a number you found in the agency and ask if they're looking for a receptionist. Your kids are getting older, there's a big inflation everywhere, why wouldn't you try to make more money that would need less sacrifice than what you do for not too big payment. How much do you make? Thousand and five hundred dollars? Something like that?"
"Around it, yeah."
"Here you would have at least 2 thousands. But I think it would be maybe even bigger. It could go up to even 3 thousand. Depends on the amount of days and hours you work I guess. But he told me it would be between 2 and 3 thousands. And even if it wasn't much bigger from your payment, you wouldn't have to sacrifice your everything. You'd be more able to spend time with kids and everything. Especially with Denton who is a really active kid."
"I'd have to think about it."
"Take a day or two. And then if you decide to try to get the job, you'll call right away because you don't want them to find a worker while you're debating whether or not you want to make a call."
"Alright."In the real light, Sasha was actually ashamed that Jaden was helping her with literally everything. He paid for the window, sacrificed few months of his life to try and get her family away from Joseph, wants to pay for the summer camp, insists on paying every time they buy something while being together. And she knows he doesn't do it on purpose, but it makes her feel like he is doing that because he knows he has much more money than she does. And it makes her feel bad.
She would also feel bad if she left Serenity alone in that shop and let down her boss. More bad for Serenity, of course.
They continued to talk about other stuff as they walked around the street.
"I kind of feel like we've been together so much longer together than a month. I don't know why."
"Me too, it's kind of annoying."
"Yeah."Deep down, Jaden would rather have it be around 6 months that they've been together and they could start seriously dating. Tell their kids about them so they wouldn't need to hide. Maybe even go on a family trip. Or just leave kids alone at home, with some of their friends taking care of them, while two of them go on a trip so Jaden could make sure Sasha gets treated the way she deserves.
He already thought that one they eight of them could work like a big family in a house big enough for all of them while Sasha and Jaden share their room. Cook together for the kids. Maybe play some games. Maybe they would even get engaged, or married. He would tell her how he loves her every day, and make sure she is not insecure anymore because he knows how much Joseph ruined her.
"I'm in love with you." Jaden accidentally slipped out, before wanting to simply just run away, because he just made things awkward between two of them.
Sasha stopped walking, looking at Jaden with wide eyes.
"You're what?"
"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't of said that. It just slipped out. I'm so sorry. Can we just forget what I said?" He rushed out, his face red in embarrassment."U-Um," To Jaden, it was great that they just happened to be nearly in front of Sasha's house. They were house away from hers. So he will thankfully avoid the whole embarrassing situation.
"I- I should really go home now. I'm sorry I slipped it out just like that, I know it's too early. I'm sorry, I-I'll see you soon." He simply rushed out before rushing down the street to his house.
Sasha was in pure shock, still standing in the place she stopped.
She knew Jaden is not a liar or a manipulator. He would never say something he doesn't mean. But she's been in situations where she was told by other person that they are in love just to trap her. And she wasn't sure if she should answer on Jaden's confession. She was in shock, and it seemed to her like Jaden regretted saying that out loud. So she just never said anything.
When her phone started buzzing in her pocket, she zoned out of her head and picked up the call from Jessica.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"Is everything alright? You sound a little bit- I don't know how but it's worrying me."
"No, yeah, I'm totally alright. What's up?"
"Oh, I was just calling to see where you are and how's everything."
"Everything's great. I was on a little walk, but I'm just getting inside of the house." Sasha said as she walked through the little gates of her house and made her way to the front doors."That's great. Do you have time for me to stop by tomorrow? I miss you guys."
"Yeah, definitely. I'm working the morning shift, but anytime in afternoon is great."
"Amazing. I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Alright."╚════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════╝
