The damned sun was in my face when I woke up and almost immediately put me in a bad mood, if it wasn't for my coffee I'm sure I would've burned this whole building down if one thing goes wrong "*yaaawn* morning little mouse" "morning dabi sleep well?" He pours himself a cup of coffee "I guess 'm not used to sleeping somewhere comfortable" he was obviously joking but it just make me feel bad for him

"Well I dunno just come by sometime but please do tell me when you do decide to drop by I don't need keigo to have a heart attack" he laughs a bit and I drink my coffee "yeah well thanks for letting me stay your surprisingly calm for someone who has a villain in thier house" my smile quickly fades "I dunno, something about you feels more like a brother than a threat and considering I'm a good judge of character you should be glad I see you as such" he smiles and shrugs

"I dunno don't let your guard down just yet little mouse" he winked and walked out of the kitchen 'huh what a weirdo' I turned to the fridge to see what I could make for breakfast "hmm we don't have many eggs left- wait does keigo eat eggs? Im not sure how I feel about that" I shake it off and grab some flour, butter, milk what's left of the eggs and other things "okay time for pancakes!" "Pancakes?" I flinch and see keigo behind me "you making pancakes babybird?" I nod "yes I am don't you have work today? Better yet a meeting?" I glare at him 'hes gonna be late if he doesn't go now'

"Yeah but I rescheduled it to later tomorrow" "really? You can't just do that" he pouts "but I wanna spend the day with my babybird!" I roll my eyes and he holds me from behind "fine but don't make rescheduling important meetings a habit" "I won't promise" I pull out a big bowl and start mixing the dry ingredients together before the wet ones "can I help?" I look over and Keigo grabbed the measuring cup "do you remember how to make them from scratch?" "Yeah I'm sure I do" "I'll help too" we turn to see dabi in the doorway "if that's okay" I smile "okay fine you two can help" keigo glares at dabi but he just comes around to mix the wet ingredients

"But the second you two start fighting or messing anything up I will kick you both out of the kitchen understood?" They both visibly stiffened and nodded "yes ma'am" I nod "good! Dabi you mix the eggs, butter, oil and milk kei make sure he has a cup of milk four eggs and a few tablespoons of melted butter" the two boys nod and I work on the dry ingredients such as flour, salt, baking soda and what not.

"Damnit don't spill it stupid bird!" "DO YOU WANT THE MILK OR NOT!?" "NOT IF YOUR GONNA TAKE FOREVER TO MEASURE IT ONLY TO SPILL IT ON THE FLOOR" I heard them start bickering and all it took was a look in their direction for them to shut up "what did I just say you two?" They both put thier head down in shame "sorry" "*siigh* I feel like a mother" I take the measuring cup from keigo pour the milk and put it in the bowl with the eggs and butter, I mix it and pour it with the dry ingredients "get the stove ready" dabi turned on the stove but was impatient and used his flames to heat up the pan which didn't do any good and it blew out soot and ash

"Dabi...." I was covered in soot from him and his bad idea and he slowly turned to me "what made you think that was a good idea" keigo wouldn't stop laughing and I sent them both out of the kitchen "BWAHAHAHAHA!! YOU GOT KICKED OUT!! AHAHA!" "YOU DID TOO BIRDBRAIN! SHUT UP!" I finished making the pancakes and cleaned myself

"Hey assholes breakfast is ready" I put out three plates with three pancakes each drizzled with maple syrup and butter on top "woah...." "Damn.." I sigh and take my apron off "I know right just wait until you try it! It's my mothers recipe" they wasted no time and sat down to eat barley giving themselves enough time to properly chew "hey hey hey! Slow down your gonna choke eating like that!" "But it's really good kid I can't help it!" "God I missed this..." I heard dabi talk with his mouthful but paid no attention to it and sat with them "well I'm glad you like it just don't choke yourselves eating that fast"
