"Don't worry babybird I can handle it!" Keigo stood by the door with our new baby girl in his arms while I struggled to convince tinarieia to keep her jacket on

"I don't know kei, let me take coral with us so you aren't so stretched out-" "no it's fine I got it besides I got my little helper Hinata with me" Keigo motioned to my middle daughter as she walked up to her father and crawled under his wing behind her father's leg, I couldn't help but feel anxious leaving my youngest alone for so long since she hatched

But Keigo insists "I don't know kei what if shes hungry? Or what if-" "Kanni I'm serious I've got this I can take care of our kids by myself for a few hours nothing bad is going to happen with you and tinarieia gone" he rested his hand on my cheek reassuringly despite my heated skin, I exhaled and reached for his hand feeling comforted by his touch and my skin cooling

"Alright, you're right you got this I'll take tinarieia and we'll be back in a few hours call if you need anything" "I will now go" Keigo turned me and tinarieia towards the door and started rushing us out "I'm serious Keigo! Call me if you need me or if anything happens" "yeah yeah I got this go wind down and spend time with your daughter you two need it" Keigo closed the balcony doors and the curtains basically keeping us outside

I felt a small hand grab mine and I looked down to see my oldest daughter stare at me expectantly "mommy where are we going?" I smile at her words and pick her up, pulling the fabric I had around me over her small body so she stayed close to me "we're going on a little fly and maybe the beach" she held onto me tightly and we took off into the sky

The thin air was cold and I could feel my daughters small frame shiver as she attempted to wrap her small wings around herself "here keep yourself warm..I sometimes forget you're part human" I wrap my coat around her and raise my body temperature to keep her warm. I always worried for her because she seemed to show demon traits ever since she was an infant but her body seemed to react the same way a regular humans body would, her body doesn't regulate its temperature naturally like mine does but she seems tolerable to drastic changes in temperature

Well minus the few minutes it takes her body to change and get used to it, it's a big reason why I make her wear warm clothes while flying or clothes with thin breathable fabric so she can be warm and cool if needed. My other daughters don't show any signs of the same traits which makes it that much more difficult

"Mommy I'm too warm! I wanna stretch my wings" "alright let's land we're a few blocks from the beach so we'll walk" I look to a street closest and land on the sidewalk, I take tinarieia out of the wrap I had on me and set her down on the ground where she started to stretch her wings out, her greyish red fluffy feathers expanding and even a few falling off as she started to molt them "mommy I want out of my jacket I'm still warm!!" "Honey if we fly again you're going to need to wear it again" "I don't care I don't want it I'm hoot!" I looked around to the people who passed us as I tried to calm my daughter

I knelt down and tried to stop her from taking her jacket off "sweetie it's almost winter you need to keep it on" "but I'm too hot mommy I don't want it!" tinarieia fought me to keep her jacket on "Tinarieia Renae Kimi Takami I said no you're keeping the jacket on!" As soon as I raised my voice she started to cry and a tinge of guilt shot through me especially as I watched the spark of flames fly off her warm colored skin, I knelt down and cooled my hands and tried to soothe my crying daughter "tinarieia there is no reason to cry you're fine you're just a little warm is al-" I looked at her forehead and saw her bangs stick to her forehead

I wiped her forehead and noticed she was sweating a lot. Frantically I checked the back of her neck and by her collar bone feeling sweat "alright nevermind let mommy help take it off" she sobbed and nodded helping me unbutton and unzip her thick jacket 'how did I not realize? Her body feels the cold and is keeping her warm and I'm making her even warmer' I thought to myself as I stripped off her jacket and carefully took it off of her wings
