Meeting with the king is something I've always wanted to do but never been able too especially with the recent events I've been pulled in so many directions but with keigo taking my place part of me feels like I can't relax completely just yet, something in the back of my head is telling me something is coming and yet I still don't know what

"Is this really a good idea kanni? I mean your family must have a good reason to keep you from seeing him for so long right?" Cass helped string the last of my dress "yes I'm sure besides it's just king brazili he's not gonna do anything cass" she finished tying my dress then went to finish fixing her hair "well I'm just saying but if you really believe nothing will happen then I won't stop you" I smiled and we left to meet with the council

Of course my parents wanted to wait until the last minute to call for us four to give our explanation, we waited about twelve minutes before he actually called for us the guard hesitantly opened the door and we walked in and stood Infront of the council. I had a cloak on to cover my stomach and Keigo was in formal yet casual clothes cass in a dress that reached the floor and touya in cloths similar to keigo

"State your names and your business" I was slightly surprised when he didn't recognize me "Cassidy Smith your highness I am a novice witch and gate keeper from earth" cass spoke up and he nodded then looked to touya "Dabi close friend of cassidy, kanni and keigo" he kept his background vague oddly enough "keigo takami sir guardian in training and also very handsome" I tried not to laugh at his last comment

Brazili raised an eyebrow "in training you say? Who is your trainer?" I stepped forward and straightened my posture "Me sir I am kanni takashi the current guardian if the realms keigo is also my partner..your majesty" I saw his eyes grow cold as he looked between me and my family "Kanni takashi hm? That sounds familiar..." He looked over to my parents on the sidelines but I couldn't be even more confused

He waved his hand and they stepped forward "and they are your parents correct? Mr and Mrs Takashi?" I looked over to my parents and nod "yes they are sir" he nodded and looked to them "I see you did not follow orders" so even the king's knows something I don't this has gone too far "Sir pardon my interruption but what do you mean by that?" "Kanni-" "no mother if no one wants to give me answers then maybe he will" Brazili sighed and shook his head

"Tsk tsk tsk I know she is your daughter but to be as so cruel as to hide something like that from her for...how old are you now child?" "I'm twenty two years old sir I'll be twenty three in two months and a half" he nodded and looked to reiner who sat at the same table as him "I am more disappointed in you reiner that you would not tell her if her own history" he rested his head in his hand "though it can't be helped she was only a child when I ordered it lady Takashi would you or sir saerys like to explain to her why she was not supposed to be here? Alive no less?" I looked to them

And they said nothing and avoided eye contact "lovebird.." my skin was heating up and I almost pushed keigo away but stopped when I noticed he didn't pull away "....I'm alright kei..I just want to know the truth" "ah well I assume queen ishera or lord reiner would not explain themselves ether so I will tell you then"

"My dear lady kanni...I'm sorry to say but you weren't supposed to live past six"
