At dawn we gathered all the soldiers we had left from both the human domain and the elven domain. The ten of us stood in front of them in full armor

reiner stepped up and nodded for me to do the same "EVERYONE!!! I know these last few months have been full of fear. Sorrow. And darkness with no hope to an end" my thoughts flash back to my father and cass "but let it be known that even in our darkest moments there is light! Light in being able to wake up alive light in being able to live another day! Light in knowing that today we end this time of darkness because today we will fight not only to save our land but to protect those we love!! To bring peace to those lost and to spread light to those in the dark!!"

The crowd cheered at his words and it still puts me in awe to hear such strength and hope from him we've fought smaller battles before but this was one people will tell stories about for centuries to come. I stepped up as reiner held his hand out for me to take my place

"You all know who I am. Maybe not personally but you know the name I go by the land I protect and represent you know me just by seeing my shadow fly past you in the sky or when the flames of am unwanted fire disappear..!" I step up and stand taller "You know me as the guardian phoenix child of the sun!! But you I know you you are the people who fight when I cannot you are people who lay down thier lives for your land and the people you love without a second thought and for that you have my ultimate respect" I nod my head to the crowd

"The witch is not like any we've seen she controls you and makes your fight against what your protecting but I see you hearts you won't let her-" I drew out my sword and held it up ignited in flames "-no WE WON'T LET HER TODAY IS THE DAY HER REIGN OF ICED TERROR ENDS SHE MAY HAVE TAKEN YOUR HOME BUT NOT YOUR HOPE TOGETHER WE WILL FIGHT TO DRIVE THIS EVIL OUT TOGETHER WE WILL BRING LIGHT IN THIS DARKNESS" the army cheered as I held my sword straight up flames blowing up briefly before blowing out in a fing of fire and disappearing completely

"....wow.." isuel nudged keigos shoulder "you've never heard her give a speech have you?" He shook his head and isuel laughed "she learned from the best she can truly make you feel like you can anything" I pumped my fist up with my sword in hand as reiner came up to give the final call, Keigo rushed up to me and pulled me close to him by the waist "I fucking love you kanni takami" he kissed me passionately before I could say anything

We separated and I smile at him "I love you too Keigo takami" reiner called for the army to charge and I pulled out Keigo's sword handing to him and flicked his chin "don't die on me birdy" he held his sword and kissed my cheek "let's go kick some ice witch ass" I smiled and we ran towards the capital walls rain from yesterday still falling harshly.

Aleta blew open the walls alexir quickly flashed a protective barrier over the front lines including us retainers, Keigo flew and got those above with the help of annari on her dragon made of water, touya and kamini blasted red and blue flames towards our enemy, my mother used the rain to create whirlpools and typhoons Nicole turning the water from below our enemy into dry ice and freezing them from the inside by the waist down

I fought my way through the crowd taking every chance I get to bolt straight through "ANNARI COVER ME!" She flew down on her dragon and used ropes of water to clear a way with no trouble "IM HEADING STRAIGHT FOR KAIYA KEEP HER BRAINWASHED PUPPETS BUSY" "KANNI WAIT IM COMING WITH YOU!" I look behind me and see Kamini chasing after me "No! You can't it's too dangerous" he gave me a scowl and I returned it "your my little sister it's my job to protect you I couldn't before let me do it now" by now we were side by side

I sighed and continued running "there's just no changing your mind is there?" "Nope I'm sure we get it from mom" I look up and wave Keigo down he flies down close enough to hear me "keep an eye on things from up high trap and immobilize anyone you can!! Can you do that?
