it only takes a raindrop--
a whisper
to break the silence,
a flick
to make the tower topple over,
a slight push of wind
to make the glass shatter.
how much more weight can be handled
till legs drop and arms fall weak?
how many more drops of water can be added
till the cup can't hold?
because eventually water will spill
how much, how fast, how long
no one knows
because the despite being transparent
the glass has held in a lot more than it should
no one saw it's depth
just it's ability to hold more and more and more
the water will spill
how much, how fast, how long
no one knows
except for the fact that whatever leaves can be replaced
by the gradual addition of sporadic raindrops
