Tell him that I ]— Written in Pencil in the Sealed Railway Car by Dan Pagis
forgive him
but I won't ever forget—
the late night talks,
the feeling that this was all like a movie,
the feeling that I messed up
that I did something wrong because I was new to all of this.
The feeling that I won't get that amount of happiness
with anyone else.
The feeling of disappointment
when my hopes of finally experiencing all my firsts
were crushed.
Tell him that I
forgive him.
Cause now I know better.
Now I know not to question my worth.
Now I know that I deserve so much better.
Someone who won't question, second-quests, or feel unsure
if they want to even be associated
with me.
I am more confident,
less naive,
more independent and self-loving.
Tell him
that I thank him.
