Judgement

I'm so excited to be writing again! I really missed updating this fanfic, but now that AOT Season 4 Part 2 cam out today, I will be updating regularly now. Please know that from now on there will be spoilers in the chapters for Part 2. I will update this fanfiction every Sunday after the new AOT episode is released. Thank you for supporting me and I'm excited to resume!

You could feel your heart pounding out of your chest and you, Hange, Floch and the others rode towards the sound of the explosion. Your hands were shaking as you held on tightly to the horses reigns. The same image kept replaying in your head, Levi dead.

The rain was coming down hard as the horses raced through the muddy grass. It didn't take long until you could see what was left over from the blast. Your eyes scanned the grass, looking at the shambles of the cart and a titan cowering, with it's head in it's hands.

You eyes looked closer to the river and you spotted the outline of a person, and you immediately recognized the green cloak. "Levi!" You jumped off the horse without a second thought, rushing towards Levi, practically stumbling over your own feet. Hange was right behind you as they ran towards the body.

You knelt down at Levi's body and took his head into your lap. Your mouth dropped open as you looked down at Levi's face. He was covered in blood as a large slash extended from his forehead all the way down to his chin. Your hands trembled as you tried to push his black hair out of his eyes to see the splinters from the cart lodged in his flesh.

"You couldn't hold yourself together as you held onto his body. Your hand held the back of his head, supporting him, as your other hand grabbed onto his. You've never seen him like this, humanities strongest, laying on the ground, lifeless. Your breaths were shaky as you looked up at Hange.

They were just as in shock as you were as they looked down at the body. "Is he..." Hange looked at you and then Levi. You pressed your pointer and middle finger to the side of his neck to feel his pulse. Your fingers slipped own his neck, covered in the dark red blood.

You looked up to meet Hange's eyes, but your heart dropped as Floch appeared behind them. "No idea what happened, but lucky us. Our biggest threat is a bloody mess." Floch said as he stared down at Levi. You gritted your teeth, ready to lunge at Floch, but Hange gave you a stern look.

"I'll put a hole in his head." The man behind Floch said as he held his gun up, stepping towards Levi's body. You held Levi close to you as he aimed the gun at him. "He's dead." Hange said, placing their hand on Levi's chest. "A thunder spear blew up his face. The blast shredded his insides, killing him instantly." You raised your eyebrows, looking between Hange and Floch, but then it clicked.

The tears mixed with the rain as they trickled down your face and you looked up to meet Floch's eyes. "Let me see him. I know how to find a pulse too."

You gripped onto Levi tighter and you sat there, refusing to look away from Floch. "Floch!" One of the Jaegerists called and he turned his attention. You looked around the area, the only thing in sight was the grass, some trees and the river behind you. there was no way you and Hange could escape with Levi.

"Y/N." Hange whispered as she removed her hand from Levi's body and pointed to the river. Your eyes widened, but you knew it was the only way. You slowly and quietly moved your hands around Levi's body and pulled him onto yours. You looked at all the men to see their attention on the titan that was cowering in the grass.

Zeke was crawling out of the nape of the titan and everyone was focused on him, not paying any attention to you an Hange. You narrowed your eyes as Zeke, before you slowly edged towards the rushing water of the river. Hange nodded and began to scoot right behind you. You held onto Levi's body tightly as you slipped into the water, immediately getting pounded in your back by the water as it pushed you down the current. Hange was right behind you, grabbing onto Levi's legs as they flew own the river with you.

You could hear the gunshots as the water poured over your head. Number one priority was saving Levi.

Author's Note: I'm so sorry for inserting this so late, but I have plans to start writing a new fanfic for AOT. I was planning to do a fanfic inspired by Red Dead Redemption, which takes place in the late 1890's. Would y'all be interested in a Jean x Reader or a Levi x Reader?
