Promise Me (Levi x Reader)

Fight

"What was he listening?" Levi looked around the deserted, glowing dunes. "Eren! This is already enough!" Armin called out, his voice echoing throughout. "If you stop now, we can end all this by agreeing to a non-aggression treaty!" You continued to look around as Armin shouted. You stayed close to Levi, just barely touching his hand. 

"You don't have to keep committing genocide for our sake!" This time it was Jean that called out. There was silence as Jean and Connie waited for a response from Eren. Finally, Mikasa broke the silence. "I want to shoulder your sins with you." She quietly said, but loud enough for the group to hear. You all turned to look at her as she spoke. "Please, don't push us away anymore. Please, Eren come back to us!" You could hear the desperation in her voice as she called out for him. 

"You heard them Eren. Do it now and I'll let you off with just a swift kick in the ass." Levi said with a stern voice, making you stand up straight. You waited eagerly for Eren to respond to your pleas. 

"The rumbling will never stop." Eren's voice echoed through your head, sending chills down your spin. "Nor will I leave Paradis Island's future to chance. I will keep moving forward." You heart sunk as you took in his words. 

"Levi. Look." You held up your arm to point to the glowing beam, along with a person standing in front of it. It appeared to be a small child.  You couldn't get another word out before Jean, Armin, Connie and Mikasa began to run towards the child. 

"Eren!" You could hear Mikasa screams over Eren's voice. You tried to focus on them running, but soon their bodies seemed to disappear into the light. "Levi.." You turned around at the sound of heavy footsteps to see the four others running towards you. 

"What the hell?" You muttered as they stopped in their tracks and stared with a beyond shocked look. You looked back at the beam of light to now see another child had appeared. "There is but one thing for us to do." Eren's voice continued to echo inside your skull. 

"Fight."

"If you wish to stop me, make me draw my last breath. You have freedom." With that last sentence, there was a flash of light and you could feel yourself sitting down in the flying ship once again. 

You slowly opened your eyes and looked around at your squad. Nico and Rose, who were quiet the whole time sat with their heads in their hands. As Levi gained consciousness, you could feel his weak hand grab yours. 

"It looks like I was right." You could hear Reiner mutter under his breath. "There really is no way to work this out." You leaned back on the wall, closing your eyes to regain your strength. "We aren't gonna solve this by talking. Commander, what now?" Levi questioned, looking at Armin as he sat next to Mikasa. 

You tried to read Armin's face, which was a mix of sadness and anger. You couldn't help but feel bad for the id, being put in this position. "Levi, you know what we're gonna have to do." You leaned in to whisper to him. Levi kept a straight face as he nodded his head but continued to stare down Armin. 

The one thought that came to your head was Eden and Westley, back at home. You kept reminding yourself they were waiting for you to make it back, and Levi was already in bad enough shape. 

"Guys! We have a problem!" You heard Onyankopon shout from the front of the flying ship. The ride got bumpier and you tried to hold on to your seat. "Dammit! We're running on fumes!" "You ready?" You tried to stand up as the shaking got worse and the aircraft got faster. 

You held your hand out to Levi, who hesitated at first, not wanting to accept the help, but he soon grabbed your hand, helping hoist himself to lean against the wall. "I see him!" Onyankopon shouted and everyone looked towards the front of the aircraft.

"Onyankopon! Get back here!" You shouted as you tried to remain stable, making sure your gear was in place. "I'll keep going until we're over the Founder! Then I'll make an emergency landing. Just make sure you land on the Founding Titan! Okay?" 

You felt Levi grip your hand as a sound started coming towards the aircraft. "Onyankopon!" Mikasa shouted as something came flying towards the flying ship. Just in time Onyankopon made a quick turn, tossing you all in the back. You kept a hold of Levi, helping you both remain stable. "The bastard's down there." Levi gritted his teeth as he held himself up, finally dropping your hand. "The damned Beast!"

"Target the Beast titan!" You shouted and looked back at Armin, who nodded. "Put all your power into taking him out!" Armin shouted as the aircraft accelerated, heading towards the Founding and Beast titan. 

"Now! Go!" Onyankopon shouted and you and Jean opened the doors to the outside. There was a rush of wind, making it hard for you to keep your eyes open. "I'll be right beside you!" Levi shouted as you gripped the side of the aircraft. You took one deep breath before jumping out, straightening your body so that you could cut through the air. 

You couldn't help but gawk at the size of the large skeletal structure as you plummeted towards it. You could spot the Beast Titan, hanging around as he started to pelt boulders at you. 

You twisted and turned your body, being careful to avoid all the debris being thrown at you. Out of the corner of your eye you could spot Levi, staying close beside you as you targeted the titan. "Levi! We won't be able to land!" You shouted but just as a bright flash of light blinded your vision. You could see the Armored Titan begin to take shape, heading straight towards the Beast titan. Right behind Reiner came another flash of light, this time Pieck. 

With that the clusters of boulders had stopped being thrown and you could safely land on the Founding Titan. You landed on top of the skeleton, right next to Levi as you stared at the front of the titan, a head resembling Eren's.

You gave Levi one last look, knowing the chances that would be your last.
