GIYUU POV

"Kocho, stop crying." She continued to bawl her eyes out while hugging me. "Kocho, people are staring at us, they might think I did something to you."

"You're right, I'm sorry, with that demeanor of yours, they wouldn't think twice." She grabbed my arms and walked. I don't know why she's crying. I'm the one who just graduated high school and yet she's the one being all sentimental.

"Tomioka-san, you don't like anyone right?" I sighed.
"How about when you go to college?" I sighed again.
"I told you before, I'm not interested in dating anyone right now." We stopped.
"How about me?" I removed my arm from her clutch.
"Kocho, you're too young." We stared at each other for a while then I could see her face turning red.
"Hmph! You're just three years older than I am, you're just the same age as Kanae!"
"Yeah, but soon I'll be in college and you're still in high school, that's not good for you. You should focus on your studies." Not that she needed it anyway, she's always on top of her class.

A smile slowly appeared on her face.

"Then what if we're both already in college?" Oh, I see where we're going. Two can play the game.

"Assuming that I don't have a girlfriend yet?"
She gasped. "You!"

Kanae was having a graduation party at their house. Tengen, who by the way is two years older than us, was also there. He saw me staring at him.

"What? You can't miss a good party, right?" His girlfriends are also present at the party. I saw Sanemi talking to Kanae's parents and then suddenly an idea hit me.

SHINOBU POV

I was really in a bad mood because of Tomioka-san that I didn't pay any attention to him throughout the party. Well, I'm not really supposed to be at the party but since it's happening in our house, it can't be helped. I saw that the table was low on chips and so I went to the pantry to get some more. I passed by Tomioka-san who stood up to go to who knows where.

A few minutes had passed by and still no Giyuu Tomioka anywhere. Where could he be? I checked all the rooms looking for him, but I still can't find him.

"Nee-san, have you seen the loner?" I asked Kanae.
"You know, he would never like you if you kept calling him that." I tried so hard not to get affected.
"Uhuh, I just left my coin purse in his bag." Welp, not really good at lying. Kanae just rolled her eyes.
"I saw him talking to our parents, so they are probably at the study right now. You haven't done anything stupid, right?"

I didn't answer and grabbed two glasses of juice and ran to the study. I knocked.
"It's me, I thought you guys might be thirsty, so I brought some juice."
My mom opened the door and there he was, sitting in one of the chairs facing my dad.
"Speaking of the devil." My dad chuckled.
"I didn't know you're here, Tomioka-san. I should've brought three juices." Lie. I know he's here; I just want to know why.
"Well, Mr. and Mrs. Kocho, it was nice speaking with you, I'll take my leave now."

I waited until we're out of earshot. "Hey! Wait up!" I grabbed his hand. "What did you talk about?" He didn't answer. I walked fast so I'll be in front of him.

He just sighed, took out something from his pocket and gave it to me.

"I'll wait for you until you reach college."

And then he left. He didn't even say goodbye to me or my sister or his friends. What a weird guy.

I looked at my palm and saw a piece of button.
