GIYUU POV

Students, especially female students, kept on asking what kind of chocolate I liked. I'm not really fond of chocolates, or sweets for that matter. I sighed.

"I don't like chocolates."
"Oh."

I saw Tengen and Rengoku peeking through the window of the faculty room. Hard as they try to hide, I can see them laughing. I went inside the room and ignored the two. I took out my lunch box and started to eat.

"Man, give the girls a break!" Tengen shouted. Huh?
"What do you mean?" I asked, really confused.
"Don't play stupid Giyuu, it doesn't suit you. Every year we have to clean your table from all the chocolates you refuse to receive!" He complained. "I feel bad for the students." His tone suggested that he's really not.
"It's not like I ask them to give me some, in fact, I always tell them not to give me chocolates." I answered.
"Yeah, but they still do! Maybe you should tell them why you don't like chocolates?" Kyojuro suggested. I sighed. The reason is simple.
"We're not supposed to receive any from the students." Call it old school. But that's just how it's supposed to be.
"Oh, but you already accepted one, remember?" Mitsuri interjected. "Or four? Hihihi"
I choked on my salmon daikon.
"There, there" She patted my back. The others were laughing.
"That's different." I mumbled.
"I don't think so." Kanae teased while grinning.

That was the most irritating lunch break I ever had so far this year. Damn! I didn't get to enjoy my salmon daikon. I entered the next class I'm teaching and the girls were already waiting for me. I was so irritated I almost glared at them. They hurried back to their seats.

"Before I start the lesson, I just want to clear something, on Valentine's day, all teachers are not allowed to receive any chocolates from the student." I can see disappointment crossing their faces.

"Even if it is just to show appreciation, it's against the school's rules." The others will throw a fit if they find out I said this. Tengen always likes to compete with whoever gets the most chocolates.

"But Uzui-sensei told us that it's okay as long as our intentions are pure." A student said quietly. Huh? Where the hell did Tengen get that shit? "And he also said that you're always alone on Valentine's day 'cause you don't have anyone so we thought we could cheer you up by giving you chocolates." I don't know how, but Tengen will pay for this.

"Thank you for your concern but Valentine's day for me is just like any regular day. And also, I have someone. I have a wife, who easily gets jealous." I don't know why I said the last part, I just did. The class looked at me incredulously. With the silence they gave me, I started our lesson.

"Did you hear Tomioka-sensei just said he has a wife?" I sure did.
"He's probably just saying that because girls keep on pestering him." That's true.
"He is wearing a ring though." As I said, I already have a wife which means we're married.
"Hmm, but he never brought someone on trips." Because she's busy pursuing her dreams and I couldn't be more proud of her. My heart swelled.
"Maybe it's an invisible wife or something." What the hell? Where did he get that? I looked at the student with a questioning look. He pretended to grab something from his bag.
"No, I don't believe him, he never showed up with a lady, let alone a wife." I sighed. She's in the US, working so hard to be a doctor. And she's the jealous type. I don't want to cause her more stress nor earn her wrath. I shivered. For her height, which is not much, she can really be frightening.

They kept on talking and talking and talking.

Hmm. Can't people just mind their own lives? And besides, we like it this way. Although Shinobu is quite talkative herself, we prefer to keep our relationship private.

"Man, you sure know how to get attention!" Tengen whined.

"Yeah, no one dares to speak in my class and yet today they can't help but talk about you! I have no choice but to give them detention." Sanemi added. "So I guess, you'll see them. Haha Good luck with that!"

Great.
