Chapter 14: Valentine's Day

SHINOBU POV

A lot of girls, including me, are having a silent competition. I think we all know what and who we are talking about. But unlike them, I have an advantage. Haha!

I changed to my PE uniform and went to the gym. It was almost already time for class but Hakuji-sensei was still not showing up. Few of my classmates were getting a little excited.

7 minutes.

6 minutes.

5 minutes.

I grabbed my bag the same as others.
The door burst open and a breathless Giyuu entered. A little sweaty but still handsome. Damn. All the female students gasped.

"Sorry, Hakuji-sensei won't be able to attend your class. Please wait at the bench while I prepare the court." His voice was husky due to being breathless. He sounded hot to be honest. I'm sure the others noticed this as well. Hmph! He called some of the guys and they started setting up the net.

I saw some girls rummaging through their bags.

"Sensei, I left something at my locker, can I go get it?" One student asked. Giyuu just nodded. Others said the same. "Okay, be back quick."

Oh, I know what they're doing. I grabbed my bag and felt something inside. I gulped. I can do this.

Giyuu blew his whistle signalling us to go inside the court. He had a clipboard in his hand.

"For today, you will be playing volleyball. I'll be dividing you into 4 groups. Let's start with the guys." After 5 minutes, the guys were now divided into 2 and already planning how to win their match.

He then went in front of us and started calling our names. I looked at the others and they were all drooling over him. I hated it.

"Kobayashi to group A, Ko-" He stopped and looked up. He scanned the group and his eyes landed on me. I felt myself blushing. He cleared his throat and continued. "Kocho to group B."

GIYUU POV

I was supposed to have a light schedule today but Hakuji couldn't make it today as his wife is giving birth. I ran to the college gymnasium near the College of Medicine as fast as I could. College students tend to leave the class when their professor is late. Not on my watch, though. If only Hakuji informed me a little earlier then I wouldn't be running like this at all. I looked stupid. But I hate to let students win.

I reached the gymnasium and I could already see students with their bags. Ha! Not so fast!
I quickly set up the court together with some of the students then divided them into groups.

"Kobayashi to group A, Ko-" I stopped and scanned the faces. Shit! Purple eyes met mine.

I've always looked forward to teaching the college students for one reason only. But I did not get the class that I want this year. And now that I've gotten my wish, I was stunned. Her purple eyes and small smile caught me off guard.

I let the guys play first. Group A won easily.

"Okay, girls warm up as we lower the net."
I caught some guys ogling at the female students and I quickly lightly tapped their heads. "Have some respect."

I crossed my arm and looked at the girls. I almost choke. I fake coughed to hide it. Shinobu in a tight shirt and short shorts. Wow. It really took a lot of me to tear my eyes away from her. What's wrong with you Giyuu? Snap out of this! You're a professional! And it's not like you haven't seen her in a shirt or shorts before but the fact that there were other men looking at her, too, makes a huge difference.
