Chapter 9: No More Hiding

SHINOBU POV

A lot of students were staring at me and whispering. Well, not really whispering as I can hear them clearly.

"I bet she only got in because of her sister..."
"Tomioka-sensei must have helped her..."
"What a teacher's pet..."
"I heard she's dating that hot teacher, he must have given him some hints or tips..."

I really don't know what they were talking about this time but being the bad/boss bitch that I am, I just smiled and walked confidently. I reached the bulletin board, ah so this is the reason.

I felt like crying. I worked so hard for this scholarship. So many sleepless nights, I barely ate, and I barely went out. I worked really hard, and it paid off!

"Look at her looking so smug." Of course, why wouldn't I?
"She must be thinking we're below her." Well, you all are.
"I can't believe it, we studied soooo hard and she got it!"
"She just cheated, I know." That's just it! I deserve it as much as they do! If they studied hard, well, I'm pretty sure I studied harder! I slowly faced them.

"Well, I guess, congratulations to me!" And gave them my biggest, sweetest, fakest smile. I swear their eyeballs almost popped out. Haha

I turned away and walked towards the exit when suddenly someone grabbed and yanked me. What the hell?
"You, I know you cheated, admit it!" A girl whose name I forgot shouted at me. I have no time for this drama. I just rolled my eyes and pried her thin fingers away.
"Say all you want but it will not change the fact that you are a, hmmm, pathetic loser. So, sayonara, I won't be seeing all of you anytime soon."

I can feel it's just seconds away before this turn into a one hell of a cat fight, when suddenly the air changes. Some students scurried away from the scene.

"What's going on?" A familiar voice said.
Giyuu, really? Of all the time you could show up, you chose this moment.
"Oh, we are just congratulating Kocho, sensei." I smirked, what a lame excuse.

I faced him and was shocked to feel his embrace. The other student gasped. "Congratulations, Shinobu", he whispered.
"What are you doing, people can see us!" He sighed and let go of the embrace. He took my hand in his and started to walk. I was utterly shocked as I followed him.

"I knew it, they are dating! What a slut!"
I tried to break free from his grasp but Giyuu just held me tighter.

"We don't need to hide it anymore, you'll be leaving this school soon anyway." I stopped, processing what he just said.

Slowly, I felt butterflies in my stomach, and I squealed. I caught up to him and I stopped him in his tracks.

"What?"

I kissed him on his lips to answer his question. I don't care anymore if other students and teachers see us. I am just so elated!

"You're right! Let's ask the others to celebrate with us!"

"No, let's go to your parents first."
