SHINOBU POV
"Husband" I finished my sentence.
"Nani?" I chuckled. When they found out that I'm from Japan, my classmates always asked me to teach them a few Japanese words, nani was one of them. And they would occasionally butt in Japanese words in our conversation. Personally I find it cute.
I ran to my husband and he caught me in his arms despite carrying a lot of things. "Giyuu!" I exclaimed. "You told me you couldn't make it! I cried my eyes out that time, you know!" I wrapped my legs around him. We probably looked stupid, but whatevs.
"Gomene, I want to surprise you." He kissed my nose and let me down.
"Come, I'll introduce you to my friends!" I walked fast towards the small group who were gaping at us. Ha! I told you I'm married and that my husband is hot! We reached them and the girls were trying so hard to compose themselves while the men looked a tad disappointed."Hi, I'm Giyuu Tomioka, and thank you for being kind to my wife. I know she can sometimes be hard to deal with." He smirked and bowed his head. I was shocked by what he just said but more so that he was able to introduce himself and said two, two sentences to complete strangers!
They still can't say a word and just stared at me then at Giyuu then back at me. I laughed. Finally, they snapped out from their trance and greeted Giyuu.
"Uhm, I guess I won't be able to come with you guys tonight, after all." I said almost like a question.
"Nah, it's okay! We totally understand." and then the girls suddenly grabbed me."Shinobu, you remembered what we talked about, right?
"Here is your chance, don't waste it."
"Don't forget what we taught you, okay?"
"And just relax." They all spoke at the same time, it took me seconds to realize what we're talking about. I blushed.
"Ne-" I trailed.
"You got this, girl! And beside you still have tomorrow to recuperate!"
"What?" I blushed harder. It was different when we were just talking and goofing about it, compared to actually thinking of doing it.
"Shinobu, you haven't seen him for like 4 years, right? And you two haven't done it yet, ever! If I were him, I'll lock you up." The others grinned.I can't believe I'm having this conversation, a few feet away from Giyuu. I'm sure he, and the other guys can still hear us. Otherwise, they wouldn't be looking away!
"And he looks like he can do you for hours. So I guess, warming up sounds like a good idea, too."
"Sssh, sssh. I got it, I got it, okay." I hope so. We joined the others again and bid our farewells. I was still blushing hard."So, let's go?" Giyuu finally said. He looked unaffected.
I helped him load his bags to my car. "What are all of these?" I asked, pointing at the paper bags. He just shrugged and said, "Mitsuri". Ah. Of course! I hope she baked some of those little chocolate fudge brownies with candied ginger on top. It may sound weird but they actually taste so good.
Our way to my apartment is silent, not the awkward silence type. It's like we were just basking in each other's presence. I would feel him stare at me and brush his hands to mine and my cheeks occasionally. It sent jitters to my body.
"Hey, I'm driving here, don't distract me."
"You're as beautiful as I remember you. No, you're even lovelier. How could that be?"
"Giyuu!!!" I whined but deep inside, I was feeling weak from his words. We arrived at my apartment around noon. I helped him carry his things despite his objections. We put his bags in the bedroom and the paper bags at the kitchen counter.
"Uhm. Do you want to rest for a bit while I prepare our lunch?" I turned to him and was surprised to see him checking the refrigerator. "Uh, what are you doing?"
