"So you are really not coming, Lou?"
Loukas Mikos looked up at the now honey coloured iris of his best friend and placed Leonidas' hand on his face, the touch making him want to rest it on his chest. "I do not feel so well today."
"Really?" Leonidas brushed away a loose strand of hair from Loukas' face behind his ear, a more instinctive like gesture than anything else.
Loukas nodded, which was not totally a lie because he did not really feel well but that was because of the fact that he now spent almost everyday with Leonidas and yet could do nothing to him.
There were talks that they had become intimate and as much as that would not help Leonidas in certain ways, it did not mean that Loukas could not imagine and think and want his best friend, which due to their close proximity lately, was intensifying.
The main real problem was the fact that they were always sounded by slaves or officials, or that stupid Caretaker that Loukas knew did not really approve of their relationship unless Loukas was chastising Leonidas.
"But Mother would be at the temple and all the slaves would be at the site," Leonidas' voice was soft. "You will be alone in this place."
Loukas fought the urge to roll his eyes but remembered he was supposed to be sick and not lose the concern that Leonidas was feeding him now. "You could stay with me you know, to take care of me."
Leonidas looked perfectly sullen, "I wish I could, but Father says I cannot miss one more day after Alcaeus because of what happened last time."
What had happened was Loukas distracting a working slave and caused a minor disruption with the building plans but Leonidas did not have to say that.
"But I am not there, am I?" Loukas' tone sounded condescending and Leonidas had noticed, raising an eyebrow making the male fix back his most innocent look as he said, "Just say yes."
"You do like causing distractions."
Loukas' eyes sparkled with hope. "So you are staying?"
Leonidas stood, to make his escape easier. "I am afraid not, but I shall keep a slave behind for you."
Loukas lost it there, "I do not want anyone else but you."
"Lou -,"
"Get out."
Loukas felt his chest rise and fall with his anger as Leonidas passed him one of his infamous sad smiles before leaving the room causing Loukas to scream and crawl under his bed, his now erect member begging him for attention while he wondered when the tent in his trousers even formed and let out another scream in his pillow.
Minutes after he had calmed down, Loukas began to walk naked through the halls of Castle Aetos, staring at some drawings of Leonidas he had done for his own fun which Leonidas adored and always framed before going down to the main spring some feet away from the building.
Naturally, the spring was off limits for people to enter since it was served to all the baths of the castle but when they were younger, Loukas had managed to convince a little scared Leonidas to join him in it.
Dimitris Aetos had given them both hell for it but Leonidas had, as usual, taken the blame for everything.
The thought made Loukas smile.
After a while, he decided to swim further, the heat warming him up and making his ever recurring thoughts about the other male vanish before he heard a voice say, "Well, isn't this a wonderful sight?"
That was when Loukas felt all the air in his lungs leave as he turned around, seeing the figure holding unto a sketch of Leonidas he had taken with him to the spring.
