The first thing Stylani Laskaris did as she woke up was smell the flowers that stayed next to her bed side as she did every morning.

A small smile lit her face while she did so before she used a hand to brush the now moist petals, her eyes moving to the sunlight coming from outside then to the potted plant before moving it away from the rays as she whispered, "You would be safer here."

Although the plant gave no reply, she still sent another dazzling smile at it then got out of her bed.

As she did so, an Hestia familia walked into the room with her head bowed. "Good morning, Lady Laskaris."

Pure irritation appeared on Stylani's near perfect face. "There is nothing good about seeing you when I wake up."

The slave said nothing.

She let out a small scoff, moving to her vanity mirror and staring at her face. "Is my bath ready?"

"Yes, Mistress."

"Perfect, as usual?"

"Yes, Mistress."

"Can you even string up an entirely complete sentence or you all are programmed to be fools?" Stylani heard herself snapping at the female, but as it always happened, the girl in question did not even flinch.

She was used to this unfair rule of power by now.

Nevertheless, Stylani rolled her eyes and turned back to her reflection. "You must be dead on the inside as well," Then standing upright said, "To the bath then."

When they arrived there, three other Hestia Familias awaited her. One with a foam, another a small cloth and the last with a small stone while the first one that had been with her pulled off her clothes and held unto it while she entered the bubbling liquid.

Moments after Stylani got cleaned, scrubbed and babied, another figure entered into the bathroom. "It never gets old seeing you look so vulnerable."

Stylani who had been resting on a pillow around the edges of the bath opened her eyes and raised her head, a small tired sigh escaping her lips "I never understand if you wake up too early or you never sleep at all."

The Artemis Familia that was dark skinned and sharp eyed replied simply, "One must come watch you so you shall not murder one of your maids."

"You should be more worried about yourself."

"You cannot harm me, Stylani Laskaris." Her black eyes shone for a second after those words were spoken, "I am your Koinõnos."

Stylani's blue eyes looked like the rumoured blue flames of Tartarus. "Against my wish."

Kynaki Florakis was an Artemis Familia and a second cousin of Achilles Eliades though they had only met once and she claimed that he is the most sane of the family. She was also the only person that had survived Stylani's venom for so long a time and grown immune to it. "If you always got your wish, I suppose life would be a bore."

"If the world gave me my wish, it would be a better place."

Kynaki's eyes held something similar to that of sympathy as she said, "You honestly do not think that, do you Lani?"

Stylani's reply was an angry groan and a snap at the three ladies all swimming around her.

After she got out of the bath and one cleaned her, she wore her cotton robe and walked back to her room, knowing that the other slaves and Kynaki would follow and when they were all entered, saw her friend's eyes move to the pot near her bed. "What a rare and amazing sight. Flowers not wilting at your mean attitude after living next to you."
