The world was a crazy place and even though everyone could act like it wasn't, Loukas Mikos would not.

Because for some obscene reason, he had not set his eyes on Leonidas for a whole week.

At first, he had acted like he hadn't cared. Too self absorbed in his own heartbreak and suffering, he did not think too much on it, but on the third day, after he had woken out of his misery and planned a beautiful apology speech, he marched to Leonidas' room and found it empty.

And not just empty. His scent was nowhere.

Like he had not been there for a while.

Loukas had flared because, for the gods sake, he was not one to admit that he had been at fault no matter what he did but he had already thought over what he would say so repeatedly.

He would say that he was sorry for acting like a fool kicked in his behind and that Leonidas was not disgusting but it was because he always imagined the male naked every single time they were together then Leonidas would laugh and he would try courting him.

Not that he thought it would work but because Leonidas would never refuse him anything, that one was a purely obvious fact.

Yet, he was nowhere to be found.

The slaves said they had not seen him or heard from him. Castilla strongly ignored any questions pertaining Leonidas for some reason and Dimitris -.

Dimitris was the worst.

"Are you not worried even a little Father?" Loukas asked one day, nearly at the brink of losing his sanity.

"And why should I be?"

"Well because your heir is missing!" Loukas blurted out. "No one's seen him in days!"

Dimitris Aetos sighed, sitting up in his chair as he said, "He's not missing. He cannot possibly be in Renatus. Everyone knows who he is. If he needs to return home, he would know his way here."

"But Leonidas is always home. He knows no one."

"He's an adult, Loukas."

"My Lord-"

"If it is the boredom that makes you panic so, why don't you go have some fun? Hmm? The amphitheatre is done and the Ares Familias are having a try out for who would eventually be in the real gladiator fight on the day of the Gathering. Why don't you go watch that?"

Loukas had never looked more lost in his life. "I should go watch two men try slaughtering one another?"

Dimitris gave him a small smile. "If you have any other suggestions, I would like to hear them."

Of course I do! I want you to give me a search party so I can go look for Leonidas right now! What if he is hurt somewhere? Or wounded? Or worse, with that evil spirit of a feline?!

But Loukas knew better than saying that. "Oh, no, my Lord. I shall- Take your suggestions very seriously and hold it in the highest of revelries."

If Dimitris had heard the sarcasm in his voice, Loukas had no idea but he had walked out of the man's study before he was executed for treason.

Yet, in the end, here he was, donning a purple cloak with its hood over his head, mixed in with the crowd of different Familias that had come to watch two men try ending the others life.

Barbaric, an eyesore and pain. Three things I do not associate with.

The crowd jeered more as the gladiator that had been winning the rounds lately won this last round and removed his helmet, his eyes now on the people seated on the high seat of the theatre.
