Ch.11

I walked into my house and slammed the door. I was not in the mood to talk to anyone right now. I walked upstairs and changed into some pajamas. When I walked back down, I heard a knock at the door. I saw Matt. Right when I saw him I shut the door and walked to the couch.

"Ava, I'm sorry. I was stupid and a jerk. I shouldn't have done that." I heard him say from the door. I didn't answer.

"I'm not leaving until you open this door." He said.

"Good. Have fun freezing." I answered him.

"Ava please." He said. I didn't answer him.

"I love you." He said and I looked at him through the window walking away.

I could tell he felt bad about what he did. I need him to really realize that he was a gigantic jerk.

•next day•

When I woke up, I looked at my phone and saw I had a text from Matt.

Matt♡- good morning beautiful. I love you and I'm sorry.

I didn't reply.

I got out of my bed and looked through my closet. I picked out my white and black polka dot skirt I got for my birthday and I paired it with a coral top. I slid on my black flats and walked into the bathroom. I curled my hair and put on some eyeliner with mascara. I grabbed my backpack and walked out the door.

When I showed up to school, Matt was standing next to my locker. He waved and smiled when he saw me. Crap, he looked adorable.

"Good morning Ava. I love you." He said and handed me a daisy that he probably picked from the schools garden.

"Morning." I answered taking the flower and putting it in my locker.

"I'm sorry." He told me.

"I know." I answered and didn't look at him. It was super hard trying to give him the silent treatment.

Once we walked into class, I sat down and didn't look at Matt. I talked to Nicole most of the time. When we left, Matt tried to talk to me again. I tried to stay quiet.

"Can I at least have a kiss?" He asked me.

I rolled my eyes acting annoyed. I kissed my hand and then put my hand on his cheek and walked off. I know that's not what he wanted so I did that on purpose to get on his nerves.

Later that day, I had Nicole come over just to hang out for a while.

"So, tell me about you and Matt. What's up?" She asked me while taking a bite of some cereal she had made.

"Well, the other day, Matt and I went on a walk and we saw this girl who was apparently considered a 'nerd'. She tripped and dropped all of her stuff. Matt was a complete jerk and laughed at her. I haven't talked to him since."

"Wow. That is really rude of Matt. I wouldn't be talking to him either." She told me.

"the thing that bothered me the most is I asked him what if I looked liked her and he didn't say anything. So practically, if I was overweight and considered ugly, he practically said he wouldn't of talked to me." I told her.

"Seriously! Wow. I would be so mad at him if I were you."

"I am. But he had apologized for everything and is being really sweet. I want to forgive him but for now, I'm giving him the silent treatment." I told her.

"Ah, good choice. Then he can realize what an idiot he was!" She told me. I laughed a little.

"Thanks for coming over." I told her.

"Hey, what are friends for!" She said and took a bite of cereal.

I was so lucky to have such a good friend like Nicole.
