I woke up the next morning from hearing the lovely sound of my alarm.

I grabbed my phone and clicked off my morning tone. I looked at the front screen of my phone. It was a picture of Nicole and I from the beginning of the school year.

We were going to take a regular picture until she said something really funny and we busted out laughing leading us to this picture. I loved it! It showed our friendship perfectly.

I slid open my phone and saw my home screen. It was a picture of Matt and I.

I was giving him a side hug and he had him arm around me. Since he was taller than me, I had to get on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek. He was smiling a toothless smile that was kinda a smirk. Every time I looked at it, it made me smile.

Then I remembered. We weren't together anymore.

I sighed and clicked on my settings. I looked through my pictures and found on of Cam and I.

In the picture, I was on Cams back while he was holding on to my legs. We were both laughing really hard because I surprised him when I jumped on his back. His hair was pushed up in the front and he had a big smile on his face. I loved that picture.

I clicked to set that one as my background and looked at it. It was change, but I liked it.

I then turned on some music and Geronimo by Shepard began to play. I got out of bed and headed towards my closest.

For my outfit, I decided to wear my floral skirt with my white top that had lace trim. For my shoes I put on some brown flats walked into the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth and then began working on my hair.

I left it in natural waves and braided my bangs back then bobby pinned them. I also put on some mascara and eyeliner before I grabbed my backpack and walked for the door.

On my way to school, I met up with Nicole. She smiled and waved. She was wearing leggings with a flowy grey shirt and a floral scarf. Her short down brown hair was straightened and she pinned her bangs back. She looked amazing as always.

"Hey Ava!" She called.

I hadn't gotten a chance to tell her about Matt and I yet.

"Hey there Nicole, are you busy later?" I asked her.

She nodded her head.
"Good, because I could use some friend time with you!" I said.

She smiled and revealed her pearly white teeth.
"Awe, okay I will meet you later at your house! Is anything up?"

"Well, Matt and I aren't together right now." I said as we arrived to school.

"What? Then why is he standing by your locker?" She said pointing.

I looked over and saw Matt. He looked upset. He was wearing some black joggers and a white tee shirt with some vans. His hair was a little messy and his eyes were droopy.

"I will tell you more later okay?" I told Nicole.

She nodded and walked towards her locker.

I walked up towards Matt.
"Hey." I said.

"Hey Ava." He replied quietly.

"Do you need something?" I asked him when I opened my locker and began removing my stuff.

"Yes." He said and looked down at his shoes.

"And what is that?" I said while I yanked my history book out of my locker.

"You." He said.

I paused and looked at his sad face.
"You should have thought about that before you made you choose Matthew." I said and began to walk to first period.

He followed next to me.

"Ava, what can I say to make you forgive me?" He said.

"Honestly Matt, I don't know. I just need some time okay."

He looked sad and walked away from the class room door.

"Matt, where are you going? Class is this way."

He turned around and looked at me.
"I'm too sad to be there and look at you and know that you aren't mine anymore." He brushed his fingers through his hair and walked out of the building.

I didn't know what to do with him. He was still rebellious. He will always do that so I didn't stop him.

I opened the door and sat next to Nicole.

"Where's Matt now?" She asked me.

"He went home."

"Why?" She asked.

"He was too sad." I said.

"Man, he really does love you." She told me.

"Don't make me think I'm making the wrong decision." I said.

"Just tell me the whole story tonight okay?" She said.

I nodded and began to write down notes for class.

When I walked towards my locker at the end of the day, Nicole showed up next to me.

"Hey, ready to hang out?" She said and smiled.

I nodded my head and we walked out of the school.

When we got to my house, we sat our books down and headed up towards my room.

"So, explain to me exactly what happened between you and Matt." Nicole said while she plopped down onto a bean bag chair.

"Well, we went over to Cameron's house the other day and Matt thought that I would cheat on him with Cameron.

He didn't trust me so he made me choose between Cam and Matt and I chose Cam because Matt has made me so upset these last few months and Cam was always the one to cheer me up."

"Wow, that must have been hard. What did Matt say?"

"He told me that he wasn't giving up on me and that he still loves me." I told her and played with my bracelet on my wrist.

"I mean, I really do think Matt loves you. I saw the way he looked today.

Matt never looked like that until he met you."

I sighed.
"I know. And I still love him, but I just don't know about him. He is risky."

"Is it because you also like Cameron?" She asked me.

I thought about it. Cameron was cute, sweet, and amazingly perfect, but I didn't like him. He was my friend. I only think about Matt for a relationship and I need to quit.

"No, Cameron is just my friend. I don't have feelings for him. I have really strong feelings for Matt but, I feel like they are dangerous." I said.

"I would honestly follow your heart. And if you need to try new thing a of just hold off, then that is okay too! I'm happy with any decision you do." She said.

"Thanks Nicole." I replied. She always had the best advice.

"No problem! Now, movie time?" She asked and smiled.

"Movie time." I answered and went towards the movie shelf.

The rest of the night we spent watching Princess Diaries and talking. I was so glad that Nicole was my best friend. She could always cheer me up.
