Ch.34

When I woke up the next morning, I felt a whole lot better! I got out of my bed and walked into my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and then went towards my closet.

Since it was raining all day, I decided to go a little more comfy. I put on my grey and pink polka dot shirt with some leggings. I out my hair into a high ponytail and only bothered putting on mascara.

I slipped on my pink converse and walked out the door.

When I got to school, Matt looked really tired.

I waved and he gave me a small smile.
"Good Morning Matt." I said.

"Morning. Are you feeling better?"

I nodded my head.

"What about you? You seem sleepy." I asked him.

"Oh uh, yeah I didn't sleep too good."

"Why?" I asked.

"Just too many thoughts going around my head."

I nodded and we walked to class.

In the middle of class, we had to take notes.

While I was taking notes, I looked over at Matt.

His hand was holding up his head and his eyes were closed. His mouth was wide open. I laughed at the sight and slightly shoved his shoulder.

His eyes popped open and he looked at me.
"Wake up sleepy head!" I whispered.

He gave me a small smile and looked at his desk.

I would need to give him my notes.

When the bell rang, I walked next to Matthew.
"You could have gotten in major trouble if I didn't wake you up!" I said.

"I know. But he is so boring! He is practically telling me to fall asleep." I laughed.

"I will talk to you later okay? Stay awake!" I said and walked to my locker.

When I reached my locker, I looked over at him to see him still looking at me.

I felt myself blush and tried to ignore him.

Soon, I saw Cameron walk up to me.
"Hey Ava! What's goin on?" He said.

I looked back over at Matt. He began to walk away.

"Hey Cam! Not much." I said.

I haven't talked to Cameron ever since he tried to kiss me. I still felt a little awkward but he was fine so I tried to ignore it.

"I heard you were sick yesterday. You good now?" He asked me.

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. Matt came over and cheered me up a little bit."

He nodded his head.
"Cool. So I will talk to you later alright?" Cam said.

I nodded my head as he gave me a quick hug and walked to his class.

Soon, the day was over.

Finally.

When I showed up to my locker, I quickly grabbed all of my stuff and pulled out my polka dot umbrella.

I quickly walked home and tried to avoid the puddles.

When I got to my house. I took my damp hair out of the pony tail. I sat my bags down and laid on the couch.

Not even a minute later, I felt my phone buzz.

Matt- hey, I need to talk to you. Meet me at the park as soon as possible.

Really Matt? It was pouring rain.

Me- okay, on my way:)

I then got up and grabbed my umbrella again and hopped in my car.

About 15 minutes later, the rain was coming down even harder. I reached the park and stopped my car.

I looked around and saw Matt sitting under a left food cart to stay dry. He was the only one there because he was crazy enough to be at the park in the pouring rain.

I grabbed my umbrella and walked towards him. He walked away from the food cart when he saw me.

"Matt? What are you doing her it's pouring rain!"

"I know." He said over the loud smacks of rain on the sidewalk.

"Ava, I can't do this. I can't be your friend. I love you too much to only be your friend.

You know how I didn't get much sleep last night? I was up thinking about you. Us. You make me happy Ava. And being your friend is good, but it is super hard.

I need you Ava. Not only as your friend. But more that that. You make me happy and every time you are around me, I get happier. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I'm sorry Ava, but I can't just be your friend.

I love you."

I was shocked by how he just opened up to me.

The loud rain was hitting my umbrella and I could barely hear myself think.

But I said what I felt.

"Matthew. I love you."

He looked intensely into my eyes. We were both under my umbrella trying to stay as dry as possible.

His chocolate brown eyes were big. He didn't have much expression on my face.

He then grabbed my face with his hands and kissed me.

Something I've been craving for weeks.

I dropped my umbrella and wrapped my hands around his neck and ran my fingers through is wet hair.

In seconds, we were soaked. Neither of us cared. We continued to kiss. I felt a rush go threw my body that I haven't felt in a while. The feeling I only get with Matthew. And I really missed that feeling.

We let go of the kiss and looked into each others eyes.

"You don't know how bad, I have been needing you." He said.

I smiled as the rain hit my face.
"Matthew, I need you even more."

He smiled his beautiful smile and kissed me again.

I missed Matt's kisses.

When we let go, Matt pulled me close to him and he got in my car.

We sat there for a minute, getting my car soaked, but we didn't care.

That was the last thing on our minds.

He began to drive my car home while I sat there and just smiled.

Matt always made me smile.

When we got to my house, Matt walked me up to my door.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you more." He smiled and gave me a small kiss and I walked inside.

I closed the door behind me and didn't move.

Matt made me fall deeply in love.
