Ch.39

Here it is.

Last day of school.

Summer is starting.

I got out of bed and turned on some music.

Being the cheesy person I am, I turned on What Time Is It from High School Musical and began to get ready.

For the last day, I decided to wear a white lace skirt with a pink fitted top. I curled my hair and went a little bit fancier with makeup and added eyeshadow.

I slipped on my pink flags and walked out the door.

I showed up and saw Matthew.

He had a big smile on his face when he saw me.

I walked up to him and he hugged me so hard my feet lifted off the ground and gave me a kiss.

"Good Morning my beautiful Ava!" He said and put me back down.

I laughed.
"Good Morning Matthew!" I said.

We walked to class hand in hand.

"Last day! Yippie!" He said and waved his free hand in the air.

"I know! I'm excited!" I said.

We walked into class.

The last day of school was practically a free day.

I sat on top of my desk and Matt did the same on his.

We talked the entire period about what we were going to do this summer.

"Only 6 more hours. Crazy." He said.

"I know. We will be free for 2 months and 22 days!" I said and clapped my hands together.

He smiled as the bell rang.

The rest of the day we went to award ceremony's, ate lunch outside, and just talked.

Soon, I was sitting in last period while everyone was counting the last seconds till the bell rang.

When it did, everyone ran out the door. All you heard was loud screams filling the crowded hallways.

Once I found Matt, he grabbed my face and gave me a big kiss.

I smiled afterwords and we ran out of the building.

We got into Matt's car and drove to his house.

Once we reached his house, Matt walked inside and laid down on the couch.

"Finally done. Finally done." He said.

I laughed.
"Yes we are." I said and sat down next to him.

He sat up and gave me a hug.

"This summer is going to be the best ever." He said and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"You are correct." I replied with a smile.

We sat on the couch for a while and just talked. When we saw the sun was going down, we walked outside.

The sunset was beautiful.

We looked at it for a minute.

"Thank you." Matt said.

"For what?" I asked and looked at him.

He turned his head and looked at me.

"Thank you Ava for giving me the best year of my life. You have showed me so many different things and to enjoy the world with simplicity. You have made me so happy this year.

Some of my best moments are with you. Like how we had our picnic in my yard before we dated, how we went to let the Tigers with me and got scared, every time I hang out with you, I get new and amazing memories.

And I really need to thank you for being the love of my life."

I felt a smile grow into my face.

I wrapped my hands around Matt's neck and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and brought be closer to him.

Every thing about the kiss was beautiful. From how I felt to where we were.

When I let go of the kiss, I looked into his eyes.

"Thank you for making my life unpredictable. I love you more than you know. You have given me the best year of my life."

He smiled and kissed me again.

I couldn't wait for this summer.

We would be together every day creating new and better memories.

Matthew has taught me so much and I can't wait to learn more. He is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Just thinking about Matt and I's love story makes me smile. We had our ups and downs, but when it all comes down to it, love was always stronger.

Who knows what would have happened if I didn't get picked as his partner in history class. My life would be completely different.

I wouldn't be as happy as I am now.

The love of my life is someone who I didn't think I would ever talk to.

Who knows what will happen when you meet someone.

Who knows what can happen when Opposites Attract.
