Ch.32

When I woke up, I realized it was Saturday. I looked at the clock and saw that is was 9:30. Man, I woke up early.

I got out of my cozy bed and walked into my bathroom to take a shower.

When I was finished, I braided my damp hair and then put on my oversized Nike tee shirt with some workout leggings and my socks.

I walked downstairs and grabbed a box of Cheerios and some milk. I also added some sugar onto my cereal because Cheerios were never sugary enough.

I looked through Instagram and Twitter while I was on my phone.

A bunch of pictures I didn't really care to see from people I didn't really like,

But we know them so we follow them.

I took my last bite of my Cheerios and put my bowl in the sink.

When I was about to go up to my room, I saw I had a text from Cameron.

Cameron☻- hey, you busy today?

Me- nope! Just hanging out.

Cameron☻- wanna come over?

Me- sounds good! On my way(;

I then grabbed my bag and walked out the door.

Cameron's house was so close and it was nice out so I decided to walk.

When I got there, Cameron opened the door.

He was wearing some basketball shorts with a white tee shirt. His hair was pushed up in the front and he had a smile on his face.

"Hey Ava!" He said and gave me a hug.

"Hey Cameron!" I answered and walked inside.

He grabbed me a water from the fridge.
"What do you wanna do?" He asked.

"Uh, I'm not sure. It's a beautiful day out though!"

He nodded his head.

"We could go get some ice cream! The ice cream places just opened up for the season." He said.

I felt a smile grow in my face.
"That sounds awesome! Which place?"

"I was thinking the Scoop."

The Scoop was a place where you could get a cone and mix three flavors together. It was really cool because you could only eat outside and it was super cute.

"Sounds great!" I said and we walked out the door.

"It's only about a mile there. Do you wanna walk?" He asked me.

Knowing that we were about to get ice cream, that sounded like a good idea.

I nodded my head and we walked out of his neighborhood and down the sidewalks.

When we got to The Scoop, we looked around. The place was packed! We walked up and looked into the line. They're were so many combinations! I was kinda glad the line was long so I could have time to decide.

After about 10 minutes, Cameron and I reached the front of the line. He decided to get strawberry, vanilla, and peanut butter.

I decided to get chocolate, marshmallow, and caramel.

Only a little bit later, we got our big cones.

They looked absolutely amazing! And being the basic white girl I am, I decided to take a picture with it.

I took my camera and pointed it to Cameron and I. We held up our cones and stuck out tongue out to lick it. I snapped the picture and looked at it.

I really liked it! It was one of my favorite pictures of me and Cam.

I went into Instagram and posted it. For once in my life, I didn't need the filter! It looked really good.

I added the caption.
"First time at the Scoop w/ @camerondallas! Very nice trip! ♡☼"

After I posted the picture, we decided to walk home since there wasn't very many seats. On our way home, we are our ice cream and just talked.

Cameron finished his ice cream really soon while I was still on the second scoop.

"Goodness Ava. I could have eaten two by now!" He said with a laugh.

"Hey, eating slower is better for you Mr.Dallas! Take notes!" I said.

He laughed. He had a cute laugh.

Soon, we reached his house. We walked into his back yard and sat in his hammock when I took the last bite of my cone.

"Done!" I said.

Cameron clapped his hands acting like I had one an award.

I laughed. Cameron always made me laugh and it made me feel good.

We looked up at the sky. It was beautiful as yesterday but just a little more pink. There was also a bunch of clouds.

"So beautiful." He said.

"It really is. I'm glad you get it." I said.

"What do you mean get it?" He asked and looked at me.

"Whenever Matt and I would go and look at the sky, he would never understand why it was so beautiful to me. He would just see it as the sky and the sun leaving. He would never actually look at it."

"Well, you and Matt are exact opposites. And that's how you all got together. That's why you loved him. You all could teach each other.

Our friendship is different though. We are practically the same person. And that is why we are friends. You can love people, but I guess it's just a different kind of love."

I nodded my head and looked at him.

He was smiling, showing his perfectly straight teeth. His eyes were brown and clear.

I looked at him for a while. Our faces were really close.

Soon his smile faded and he was leaning in. I wasn't moving. I couldn't move. I couldn't kiss Cameron. That could ruin everything.

Even though I wasn't dating Matt, it wouldn't be right to do that.

I loved Cameron, but I couldn't do it.

I looked down into my lap and began to play with the bracelet on my wrist.

"I should probably get going. It's getting kinda late." I said and smiled.

He nodded his head and gave me a little smile. He looked a little disappointed that he didn't kiss me.

But it could have gone very wrong if I let him kiss me.

I gave Cameron a hug and walked back to my house.

I wanted to kiss Cameron, but I didn't want to at the same time.

Because I still love Matthew.

And I don't think my feelings will ever change.
