Ch.12

It has been about 3 days since I have last talked to Matt. He still texts me, tries to talk to me in class, but I still give him the silent treatment. And let my tell you, that isn't easy.

It was a Saturday and I didn't have much to do that day. I wasn't talking to Matt, Nicole was having to babysit her cousin, and my mom and dad went out on a date for the first time in about 3 years so, I had the house to myself.

I was feeling like I needed a complete clean so I decided to take a bath and use my last bath bomb I had which was the Phoenix Rising. I filled up the water and plopped in the bath bomb as it began to fizz and turn my bath into a starry Galaxy.

I also shaved my legs with the fancy eos shaving cream and I put on a face mask. For some music, I decided to go calming and turned on Alex And Sierra. I loved them so much!

After my nice little 'spa day', I got dressed into some Pink Victoria's Secret sweatpants with a super soft black v-neck. I didn't feel like putting in my contacts so I placed my big square glasses on my face. I french braided my wet hair so it would be wavy tomorrow. And lastly, I put on my fuzzy aloe infused socks and walked into the kitchen.

When I walked into the kitchen, I decided to make some hot tea with honey to feel refreshed. For my snack I picked out some chocolate covered strawberries my mom had made earlier that day. Once I grabbed my snack, I sat on the couch and turned on The Fault In Our Stars. I was feeling like a love story tonight.

About halfway into the movie, I had finished my tea, most of my strawberries, and was cuddled up in my blanket with tears rolling down my eyes at the movie.

While I was about to blow my nose from tears, I heard a knock at the door. Why would my Mom and Dad be knocking? Maybe they forgot the key.

I wiped my eyes clear of tears and walked towards the door. I was surprised to see who was standing there.

Matthew.

He was wearing some black sweatpant joggers with a white tee shirt. His hair was in a quiff and he was just wearing some slippers. Even though he was wearing lazy day clothes,

He looked perfect.

"Look, Ava. I would have talked to you no matter what you looked like. Your looks aren't the only reason I love you. The real reason I love you is because of you. Your personality. You are the most beautiful person on the inside and out. Even if you didn't look as beautiful as you do I would still love you. What I did was wrong okay. I know that. I'm an idiot and I do stupid things. And that is why I need you. I need you to tell me what is stupid and what isn't. I need you to tell me when I'm not being polite or respectful. I need you more than you know Ava. This past week has been the worst week of my life because I haven't had you. I haven't been able to kiss you, hug you, talk to you, laugh with you, disagree with you about the littlest things. I miss you Ava. I would love you no matter what you looked like. I'm so, so sorry."

I was at a loss for words. I looked at Matt's face. He looked so sad. So tired and just worried. I didn't know how to answer him, so I did what I have wanted to do for a while.

I kissed him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and Matt brought his arms around my waist. I could tell he was a little shocked. It didn't take him long to realize though because he kissed me back. It felt so good to kiss him again.

I let go of the kiss and opened my eyes.
He looked at me with his big brown eyes.

"You don't know how long I have wanted to do that." I told him and smiled.

"You can kiss me anytime you want." He answered.

I smiled and kissed him again. I felt so happy when I kissed him. Everything went away and Matt and I were the only two people on Earth and I loved it.

"I love you Matthew." I answered.

"I love you more." He told me.

He looked at me for a little bit longer.
"Just kiss me loser."
I told him with a smile.

Matt laughed a little and pressed his lips against mine.

I mean, who can actually stay mad and Matthew Lee Espinosa?
