The next day when I woke up, I had realized that it was a wonderful Monday.

I had a really bad headache and cough. I rubbed my eyes and put on my glasses.

It was 6:30. Time to get up. I sighed and got out of bed.

Since I felt a little sick, I didn't want to dress up. I out on some black adidas pants with a baggy light blue crop top. I also slid on my black converse and french braided my hair. I didn't bother putting on any makeup and I kept my glasses on.

I packed some cough drops in my backpack and walked out the door.

When I got to school, I saw Matt standing next to my locker. He looked nice. He was wearing some khakis with a tee shirt that had a galaxy design on it. His hair was pushed up in the front and he was smiling.

"Hey Ava!" He said.

"Hi." I said. My voice was a little scratchy.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Oh, I just have a sore throat."

He made a pout face.
"Awe, you should go home. Get some rest."

I smiled a small smile.
"Thanks Matt, but I have a giant Algebra test today that I can't miss."

I then shut my locker and we began to walk to class.
"Oh guess what?" I said.

"What?"

"We are getting that history test back today that we took last week! Are you worried? You said you didn't study."

He shrugged his shoulders.
"Nah, I'll be fine. You look worried though." He said.

"I mean, I'm always worried when I get a test back." I said and we took a seat.

Our teacher waisted no time and began to hand back our tests.

Nicole got a 88% which was pretty good.

This kid named Sam got a 72%. Not as good.

Then he handed Matt and I our tests.

"You first." Matt said.

I smiled and flipped over my paper.

99%.

"Yay!" I said and showed Matt my paper.

He laughed at my excitement.

"Okay, your turn." I said.

Matt nodded his head and flipped over the paper.

His eyes got wide.

"Oh no. What is it?" I said.

He then started laughing as he flipped the paper towards me.

100%.

"You're kidding me!" I said and my jaw dropped.

"How in the world-" I started.

"I'm Matthew Espinosa. I can do anything."
He said with a grin.

I laughed and put my test away.

How in the world did he do that?

After my long day of being sick, it was finally time to go home.

I grabbed my stuff and began to walk home.

When I got home, I sat all my stuff down and took a nap. When I woke up, it was about 4:20. I went up to my bathroom and took a long shower.

When I got out, I put on some leggings and an oversized tie-dye shirt I made a while ago. I brushed my wet hair and put it in a braid.
