Lia first showed me the foyer downstairs (the area where I first entered through the main doors). Then she lead me to the kitchen and bar. The kitchen was large (obviously) and all the furniture in it was vintage. The bar was next to the kitchen; it wasn't all to special. Just a bunch of alcohol bottles and chairs around a table. Nothing too interesting.
I greeted Juan and Iña, who were cooking a really good smelling lasagna. They let me taste a little, and oh boy, it tasted great.
Next, Lia showed me the entertainment room. The TV in there was the size of my bed upstairs. There was a device in there called a Wii. And there was a whole shelf with games for it. There were remotes and other cool things there. The couch was super squishy and the pillows were soft.
I was really loving it here.
Lia also showed me each bedroom, and they weren't very different from mine, well, Brianna's. Queen Mathilda's room was a whole another story.
The detail in each furniture piece was so exquisite and the TV was too luring. I had to leave the room before I wouldn't be able to resist jumping on the bed and singing to a song blasted by the TV.
Lia showed me all the bathrooms and the laundry room. She showed me the gym, which had a heated pool in it. She showed me the theater and the living room.
I was breathless with each step I took. This whole thing seemed like a dream. I pinched my arm a few times to double check that it wasn't. I didn't even know that half these things in this castle existed.
"I'll give you about a week, and you'll be maneuvering around this place easily." Lia said as we left the living room, which had a velvet theme to it.
She lead me to the basement, and even the basement was interesting! There was a TV and another Wii console. And a whole bunch of games and what not.
"This room is mainly used when there is a party or just for fun." Lia explained. Her face lit up.
"I almost forgot! The party room!" She said, tugging my arm as we ran up the stone stairs.
"Where?" I said.
"The party room! My favorite room of the whole castle!"
Lia finally stopped running as we entered a ballroom. There was a huge stage, and there were these black boxes around it too. Lia said those were speakers. A sparkly ball thing hung on the ceiling. Lia said it was called a disco ball. I was really not used to any of this.
The ceiling was glass. The sun shone through it, and the disco ball reflected a whole bunch of silver rectangles on the walls.
There were giant French windows on the walls, and the curtains were velvet with a silver hem and golden beads on them. The whole room was basically glass. Except for the floor, which was glossed wood.
Lia looked at the room with happiness.
"What a party we can throw up in here!" She said. "Queen Mathilda always makes sure that her guests are pleased."
I smiled.
"Try to find your room." Lia said.
"Pardon?"
"Try to find your way to your room." Lia repeated. I nodded and turned out of the room. I tried to find the foyer, but instead I found myself in the theater.
About 45 minutes later, I found my room. I was glad that Lia didn't help me. She wanted me to learn and I really admired her for that.
Laughing at my stupidity, I walked into the closet to change my clothes. Queen Mathilda would probably be pleased to see me assimilate to the new lifestyle I was living.
I picked out the jade green dress that I had my eye on before. I put it on, and it fit perfectly. Looking at the tall mirror near my bed, I twirled around and watched the skirt follow my spins.
Suddenly, the bedroom door opened. I stopped spinning and I put my hands on my hips.
I expected it to be Lia, but instead, it was a really cute boy.
I raised an eyebrow as he walked into my room.
"Uh...hi." he said.
"Hi..." I replied. "Who're you?"
The boy looked around for a minute.
"Ty." he said, flickering his blue eyes at me. I felt speechless. He was pretty hot...
"I'm Brynn." I said.
Ty laughed.
"I know. The servants are talking about you." He said. "I'm Queen Mathilda's son."
I gasped.
"We're siblings?"
"Not quite. You're not her biological daughter. And I'm not her biological son." He explained.
"So how did you get here?" I quizzed.
"Same way you did. Only I was taken in secret." He replied.
So this isn't the first time Queen Mathilda did this. I felt so special when I thought I was the first. Guess not...
"By the way, that dress looks awesome on you." he said. I blushed.
"Thanks."
I looked at his clothes. He had on a gray t-shirt and khaki shorts.
"That shirt fits you well." I said sheepishly. Ty laughed. He sat down on the leather chest at the end of my bed.
"So, Brynn..." he said. "How old are you?"
"14."
"I'm 14 too!" He said, smiling. "Do you like dogs?"
What?
"Uh...ya."
I sensed that Ty was making up crap just to keep a conversation.
"Why are you even here?" I asked. Ty hesitated.
"Lia sent me here to meet you. She said that we would make great friends. And she was right."
This dude liked me, and it was so frikin obvious.
