I gasped.
My heart went racing. Finally! He FINALLY said it!
"I love you too." I said. Ty smiled softly and then he leaned in and kissed me.
...........................................
That entire day, Ty and I spent time together.
Now, we were sitting under a tree near the horse stables.
Ty was telling me a story about how the queen (AKA our mom) was thinking about getting a dog.
Then he turned his head to me and he looked at me with his blue eyes.
"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" He asked. I smiled.
"Uh...YES!" I said, hugging him. Ty laughed and he pulled away from me.
"Finally..." he said. "I was so nervous you'd say no."
"Why wouldn't I say yes?" I said. "I had a crush on you ever since I laid my eyes on you." I admitted.
"Same here." Ty said.
"So, how are your toes feeling? Are they still freezing?" He asked.
I looked at them. I had sandals on.
"They're fine." I said, admiring the nice, warm weather. The sun was shining bright, and the clouds were still puffy and happy.
"Are you brave to go horseback riding again?" He asked after a few beats of silence.
I looked at him with wide eyes and with fear.
"Uh....no." I quickly said.
"Oh come on. Falling off a horse isn't that bad." Ty said, giggling a little.
"Easy for you to say. My cuts and scrapes are still fresh. I need to let them heal." I said.
Ty nodded and then he stood up.
"Well, if you don't want to go on a horse, then I'll have to just figure something else out. Race me. " He said.
"Is that a challenge?" I asked, smiling.
"Yup. First one to reach that flag over there by running wins. Then that person chooses what activity to do." Ty said pointing to the yellow flag that showed the start of the the horse trail.
I sighed. Why not give this a try?
"Okay." I said, walking over and next to Ty. We stood in front of the tree were sat under.
"Three..." Ty began.
"Two..."
I looked ahead of me. The distance between the tree and the flag was about 30 yards. I focused on my breathing to calm down and to try and outrun Ty. I WAS NOT going to hop on a horse again, at least for s while.
"One..."
Ty looked and me and he winked at me.
I made an intimidating face that basically said "I'm gonna win this." Ty grinned and then he turned back forward.
"Go!" He screamed.
We took off running like bullets, and I felt the adrenaline kick in. The flag was closer with each step I took. At first, Ty was right next to me when we began the race. Then, after a minute or so he wasn't there.
I didn't want to look behind me. I was really focused on the flag and to finish this stupid race.
I had a feeling that I would win. And I did.
I sprinted the last yard to the flag and I grabbed the pole of it.
Then I turned around.
Ty caught up to me and then he leaned down in his knees, panting.
I squatted down to his level.
"I won." I said victoriously.
"Yeah yeah." He said. "The choices for the activities are..." Ty looked around.
"Horse back riding, jogging, hiking, or just to take a walk." he said.
"Wanna walk around the land?" I asked.
"It's up to you, sweetheart." He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. We walked around the perimeter of the gigantic yard.
"I'm glad you walked into my life." I said.
Our relationship was so cheesy and predictable in a way, yet it was still magical and awesome.
"Oh, hell I can agree." Ty said. He released my shoulders and he took my hand in his.
We turned around the corner of the fence and we continued our walk.
There was a swarm of geese up ahead, and being the childish person I was, i tugged Ry's arm and we ran right through them, scaring them all away.
We laughed hysterically after one of the geese pooed themselves from fear.
"You're hilarious." Ty said, still holding my hand in his.
The wind blew gently and the trees swayed slightly in the soft breeze. I felt the sun kiss my face, hopefully to give me a nice tan later on.
There was a bench up ahead at the spot we were at, and we sat down to take a break.
Ty turned his head to me and our eyes met. He leaned in and kissed me again.
