The ride in the big black truck lasted hours.

I need to use the bathroom, and Ty needed fresh air in order to not pass out.

After a billion ages, the truck halted to a stop and the doors flew open. The guard that assaulted me was standing right there. The surroundings behind him were unfamiliar to me,and I smelled smoke.

"Come." the guard said, motioning for us to leave the truck. I took hold of Ty's hand and we stepped outside.

My bare feet sunk into the muddy dirt beneath me. Ty didn't have shoes on either, and our feet were covered in the mud.

"Follow us." the same guard said as he grabbed Ty and me by the shoulders and we were shoved ahead. The buildings around here were dirty looking and horribly maintained.

As we walked past them, it became clear where we were going.

A big, black castle appeared from behind the horrible, ugly buildings.

"Princess and Prince. They deserve a castle, right?" A guard from behind us sneered. The others laughed in unison and I looked at Ty. His facial expression looked so miserable; I felt the same.

The sky was dark, yet the land around us was illuminated with street lamps that had flame torches on the tops. No one was outside except for us. As we passed each new building, I saw the faces of at least three people in the windows, staring at us. Some even whispered 'it's the new princess!' or 'the prince is here with his princess!'

"You two were summoned here by our Queen." A guard said. I whipped my head around to find out who said that.

"What Queen?" Ty asked.

"Our Queen." The guard said again. I recognized him as the one who forced us out of the closet this morning.

I turned back around and walked further into the city. This town wasn't any different than my old one; the streets were littered with trash and I even spotted some old unpaired shoes by a broken bike wheel.

The huts and buildings weren't made from stone or bricks; they consisted of homemade clay and straw. I almost cried as I remembered the good days when I was in the town, and when I was taken to the nice castle. Now, I was kidnapped along with Ty to some evil castle where we were forced to reign at.

We finally reached the drawbridge. One of the many guards pressed a button and the futuristic gates opened and the drawbridge lowered. I looked at the water surrounding the castle. It was murky and I swore that I saw a green tail slithering in it. Then we walked down the bridge and we entered the castle.

The foyer in this castle was a lot bigger. There were more murals and paintings, including my favorite: Mona Lisa. There was a red tinted chandelier on the ceiling with gleaming lightbulbs. The staircase had velvet stairs and the railing was brass and gold. I gasped at the sight. Being kidnapped into this!? It's not that bad...

Ty's eyes widened too. He looked at me and he winked.

"Lead them to their rooms." A guard said. Then, the guard who was holding us lead us up the stairs. With each step, I felt guilty for even touching the stairs. They looked so expensive, and I was getting mud all over them.

The hallway upstairs was to die for. The walls were a beautiful light red and they had a golden tint to them. The lights were on full blast, causing the whole place to glow. We were lead down the hall and the guard stopped at the first door on the left.

"Here you are." He said, shoving Ty forward. He opened the door and beamed as he entered.

"See you soon." Ty said to me before the guard closed his bedroom door and he shoved me forward. The next door over was my bedroom.

I opened the door and gasped as I saw what I did see. The guard shut my door and left. I was left standing in a wonderland. The bed was huge; it was in the shape of a heart and it had red and pink heart pillows and the bedding was red too. The windows were tall and big, and to my surprise, there was a giant balcony, probably thirty times the size of my old one. The mirror was at the right side of the room, and it was shinier and wider than my old one. The bed didn't have a leather chest at the end of it like my old room though, so if Ty ever came to see my room, he'd have to find a different spot to sit. The walls were pink and gold, and the walk-in closet had a golden door. I walked over to it and I noticed that the doorknob was a huge diamond. I smiled as I opened the door, and I was revealed a huge room with rows and rows of poofy and gem-loaded dresses, gowns and some casual attire like dress pants, blouses, and so on. There was a long rack of expensive shoes at the base of the closet, and there even was a small window on the wall.

I entered the closet with carefulness in my steps. The dresses had a soft feel to them as I touched them, and I knew that my whole entire room was bigger, better and more expensive than my old one at the old kingdom.

Suddenly, I felt a rush of pain in my heart when I remembered Lia and the other servants. Dead. On the floor. In their own blood. I fell to my knees, sobbing, knowing that I would never see them again and that these new guards who brought me here were only bribing us with fancy shit only to get me and Ty to reign here because they needed people to reign their kingdom.

I wiped away my tears and I stood up. Even with all this pretty stuff, I was still not happy. My old kingdom was probably thousands of miles away. I didn't know where it was anymore. My friends (the old servants) were gone. My biological family was farther away from me than ever before. Queen Mathilda was still missing. The old kingdom would plummet and these black dressed guards would probably go and kill the people living in the old kingdom. I let a few more tears drop down my face until I regained myself and I walked outside on the balcony to see what new land I would be reigning.

The town below had a lot of animals grazing the fields. There were a few houses with electricity, and I saw a few lamps through their windows. The trees blew with the wind. I looked up and I saw the moon, which glowed like the walls in the hallway I saw a few moments before. The air was crisp and cold, the horizon had many mountains beyond the town and the kingdom.

Mountains....

Mountains....

MOUNTAINS!

I gasped and I ran back inside my room. The old kingdom that Ty and I lived in was behind the mountains!
