After Iña, Lia and Robert cleaned my room, I ran to go get dressed. Ty wanted to go outdoors today, so I found a pair of horseback riding boots, a white flowy blouse and jeans.
I went to the mirror and readjusted the curls on my head. Then I went to the kitchen for breakfast.
Queen Mathilda was already eating. She was accompanied by the servants, who were putting food on the table. I sat in the same seat I sat in yesterday. But today, I was eating an arrangement of fruit. Ty ran down the stairs and he hopped in the seat next to me.
"Hey." he said again. I smiled in response.
"Good morning Queen Mathilda." I said. She smiled and waved.
"Hello Brynn." she said. "You look lovely today."
I smiled and ate a piece of what looked like a pineapple.
Ty threw a blueberry up in the air and he caught it in his mouth. I clapped in amazement. I can't do that...
I tried though. I failed up until the point where all my blueberries, grapes and raspberries were on the ground. Iña had to clean it, and I felt really bad.
"It's okay, you're young." was all she said.
I left the table and I ran outside. Ty came after me and he tackled me to the ground.
I laughed and screamed at the same time. Then Ty tickled me.
"Stop it!!!" I yelled in between laughs.
We rolled down a hill and I fell on top of him. He smiled.
"Uh...hi?" I said, standing up off of him.
"Hey." he said, smiling.
"So what are we gonna do?" I asked. We had so many activities to do outdoors.
"Horseback riding?" He asked. I nodded and followed him to the stables.
There were five horses inside. Three of them were brown, and the other two were caramel colored.
Ty opened the gates for the two caramel horses.
"Did mom tell you their names?" He asked. I shook my head 'no.'
"Well, this is Caramel and that's Dopey." Ty said.
I giggled. The names kinda suit them perfectly.
"Here, I'll take Caramel." Ty said, handing me the reins for Dopey.
I grasped them and I followed Ty out to the field.
There were a lot of hills, and I got kinda scared. This was my second time riding on a horse in my whole life. Ty seemed experienced.
"Uh...are we riding on those hills?" I said, pointing to them.
Ty nodded with excitement.
"It's so fun when you bounce on the horse!" He said, tugging Caramel to the hills.
"I don't think I am comfortable with that..." I said with my heart in my throat.
Ty tuned around with a puzzled expression.
"What do you mean? It'll be fun, I promise you will be safe." He said. I shrugged and walked with him.
Dopey budged me with his nose. I smiled and I kissed his head. I loved horses. They're beautiful.
Ty stopped when we reached a yellow flag.
"That signals the start line. Another yellow flag farther away signals the finish line." Ty explained. I listened carefully to not screw up while riding.
"The track is about ten miles, and we'll spend a long time out here. Just so you know, Brynn." Ty said, looking at me. I nodded.
"Well, let's start! I guess we can ride next to each other, if you don't mind." Ty said.
"Why would I mind? Of course we can ride side by side!" I said, climbing on top of Dopey.
Ty made sure I was sitting properly. Then he hopped on Caramel and we began riding the trail into the woods.
"Wow, this is nice!" I said.
Ty laughed.
"It is, isn't it? Don't be scared anymore, okay?" He said.
"Okay." I replied.
"So, how are you liking the castle life?" Ty asked.
"I love it!"
I felt like I had betrayed my family.
"Good." Ty said.
"I really like this forest..." I said randomly.
"Yeah, it's nice."
"How long have you been horseback riding this track?" I asked.
"About six months. I didn't think I would like it. But it turns out, I love it!"
I smiled.
"That's aweso-"
I didn't finish my sentence.
Something went wrong.
