Cop VS Criminal - Eyeball Chambers

Athena sighed as she looked around, Max whined down at her feet as she looked down at him.

"I'm sorry boy, I don't know where he went." She mumbled as she began a slow walk back to the B&B.

"Athena!"

She looked up and saw Gordie running over to her, Chris, Vern and Teddy by his side. He practically jumped into her arms as he reached her and she forced herself to laugh slightly.

"You're staying! You're staying! You're staying!" He said excitedly as the other boys joined in giving her a hug.

She laughed and nodded as they slowly let her go.

"Our very own K-9 unit! Freaking awesome!" Teddy said excitedly as he crouched down and began fussing over the dogs.

"Bet the cobras are happy about that." Chris said winking at her.

She knew he meant Eyeball. She attempted a weak smile in return as he frowned at her response.

"Your dad says you're getting your own house too which is even cooler!" Gordie couldn't contain his happiness at having her stay.

She nodded and smiled at him. "Yeah it's got 2 bedrooms so you can come and stay whenever you need it."

He smiled warmly up at her as he wrapped his arms around her in another hug.

"This is gonna be the best." He mumbled into her as she held him tight.

"It really will kid." she mumbled back as her mind just filled with thoughts of Eyeball, she had to find him and explain.

"When do you get to move?" Chris asked.

"Tomorrow. I get to pick the keys up in the morning." She replied as Gordie pulled away.

"We can help you move your stuff from the B&B if you want?" He offered.

She looked down at him and smiled. "I'd love nothing more Gordie."

They all beamed at her, huge grins plastered on their faces.

"We'll see you tomorrow then, we'd offer a game of cards but we all got homework." Teddy said.

She nodded and shook it off. "It's fine, I was gonna head back and pack up my stuff anyway."

They all gave her one last hug as she headed off. Arriving back at the B&B she topped up the biscuits for the dogs before slowly beginning to pack up what stuff she had here.

It didn't take her long and she was soon lazing on her bed reading a book as Jax and Max lay spread out next to her.

The sun had set outside as she reached out and turned on the lamp to continue reading but her peace was disturbed by what sounded like someone kicking at her door.

The dogs instantly rolled into action as they began growling. Jax jumped down and glared at the door, heckles raised.

Athena quickly leapt up and grabbed her gun from her bedside table as the kicking came again. She slowly headed to the door as one hand held the gun tight and the other reached out for the handle.

Slowly taking it and turning it, she took a deep breathe and quickly flung it open, raising her gun instantly.

Her mouth dropped in shock as she quickly slid her gun into the back of her shorts and stared at the battered and bruised Eyeball standing there, holding an unconscious Chris in his arms.

Athena quickly leapt forward and took Chris from him and rushed him into the room, laying him down on her bed, Jax instantly jumped to his side and attempted to lick his hands to get him to wake up.
