Athena and Eyeball only managed to work their way through a couple of the files of questions upon questions, demanding information upon information about the pair.

However as they were applying for joint guardianship she found herself pausing at the question that asked about their connection to each other.

Eyeball rested his head on her shoulder and looked over to see why she'd stopped. His eyes caught where her pen was just hovering over the various options. Married. Engaged. In a relationship. Siblings. Friends. Other, please specify.

"What's the problem?" He whispered.

He felt her sigh underneath him.

"Technically we haven't even decided on this."

He nodded slowly before standing up and shuffling her forward so he could full sit behind her on the sofa. His arms wrapped around her as he reached his hand out to hold hers which held the pen.

"So let's do it now." He whispered in her ear as he gripped her hand and moved it so then pen hovered over a particular box.

"Athena Lachance..." he whispered. "Will you marry me?"

Athena turned to face him slightly as she saw nothing but serious on his face, millimetres away from hers. Looking back down at the page she felt her hand press his and the pen down as she ticked the box that stated they were engaged.

"Yes." She whispered.

Without hesitation she turned to face him as his lips smashed onto hers. They released they pen as their arms locked around each other.

She spun around and straddled his lap as they continued to kiss, gently tugging at each other's clothes as Eyeball slowly stood them up, her legs stayed locked around his waist as he stumbled his way out the room, up the stairs and into their bedroom, the door being kicked shut by his foot.

They were done with paperwork for now.

McKenzie laughed as the kids all pushed and shoved each other up the pavement, the dogs happily joining in,  up to Athena's. Chris produced the key from his chain and unlocked the door.

They all walked in slowly, hearing nothing but silence. McKenzie walked into the living room cautiously, his training kicking in without question.

"Where are they?" Teddy asked looking down at the two empty wine glasses and bottle on the table and paperwork spread out everywhere.

McKenzie bent down and picked up the page they'd clearly last been filling out as his eyes scanned it.

A smile soon appeared on his face as he noticed a small box ticked.

"What is it?" Gordie asked quietly as he stepped closer, part of him worrying.

McKenzie smiled down at them. "They went to bed early I'm guessing." He mumbled laughing slightly, knowing full well there had no sleep going on whatsoever.

"Why?" Vern asked, looking back down at the big pile of paperwork.

McKenzie just smiled as he handed the page to Chris. He took it slowly and scanned the sheet before he too saw that little box with a tick.

He looked up at McKenzie, who just grinned at him. "Someone's getting a new sister-in-law as well as a mum."

The others all looked shocked and somewhat excited as they rushed to Chris's side and saw the little ticked box before the answers stopped. Engaged.

"Christopher Chambers getting it all!" Teddy almost shouted excitedly, tapping his friend happily on the back.

McKenzie laughed. "Come on, it's getting late, you boys all gotta get home. Just because you ain't got school tomorrow don't mean no late nights." He said as he wrapped an arm around Teddy and Vern, nodding towards Gordie.
