Cop VS Criminal - Eyeball Chambers

Athena was more than happy to show Eyeball up to her new room as they eventually fell asleep together, Eyeball's arm draped over her waist as she shuffled in closer.

They both awoke to the dogs barking incredibly loudly. Athena and Eyeball flung themselves out of bed, giving each other a worried expression, Chris was downstairs.

Eyeball almost tripped as he flew down the stairs after Athena, who had grabbed her gun and was holding it up as the pair burst into the kitchen to see Chris dangling two of the dogs treats over the jumping dogs.

Startled by his brother and Athena's quick arrival, not to mention the gun that had been aimed at him he dropped the treats and the dogs happily calmed down.

"My bad." He mumbled as Athena and Eyeball both breathed a sigh of relief.

"Don't ever do that to us again!" Eyeball shouted at him as Chris gave him a knowing smirk.

"You two were worried." He said with a nod as he crossed his arms.

"Well of course we were you dipshit!" Eyeball shouted. "Now go get changed and go to school before I have another bloody heart attack!"

Chris smirked as he nodded and walked past them.

"Whatever dad." He said sarcastically emphasising dad.

Athena had to hold a hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing as Eyeball glared at him.

"Don't talk to your father like that!" She shouted in between laughs, as she heard him head up the stairs.

"Sorry mum!" Chris shouted back in laughter as he headed into the bathroom.

Eyeball glared at her but she just continued laughing.

"Don't encourage him." He mumbled as he even let out a laugh.

"I couldn't help myself daddy." She said sultry as she stepped closer and wrapped her arms around his neck, the cold metal of the gun gently touching his back.

"Okay now that I like." He mumbled as he leant down to kiss her.

"Yeah thought you might." She mumbled but just as she felt his lips touch hers the dogs started up again.

This time it wasn't their playful barks, it was their warning barks, alongside snarling and growling. Athena pulled away and quickly tightened her grip on her gun as they both went towards the front door where Max and Jax were jumping up trying to get out.

"Get Jax, I'll take Max." Athena ordered as she reached out and held onto Max's collar, tugging him back gently.

Eyeball nodded and stood straddling Jax to hold onto his collar as he reached out and opened the door slowly, allowing Athena to hold her gun straight up. At Ace Merrill.

He held his hands up in surrender. "Calm down officer, only here to pick up your boy." He said in that monotone voice as Athena snapped her head to Eyeball.

"Ace got the job yesterday, they kinda also offered me one too. I was going to tell you but..." his voice trailed off as they both remembered there wasn't much talking going on when they made it upstairs.

Athena blushed slightly as a smile appeared on her face. "That's great news."

Eyeball smiled and nodded at her. "Working on cars and smashing up junk. Perfect jobs aye."

She laughed and nodded at him.

"Look as sweet as this bullshit is you gonna stop the deadly duo from trying to rip my face off or not?"

They pulled away from their conversation and turned to Ace, who nodded down at the dogs who were very clearly still trying to break free to jump at Ace.

Athena quickly nodded as she nodded to Eyeball to get the dogs in the living room. After a mass struggle and Eyeball almost tripping over Max they finally got them in and shut the door, turning back to Ace stood in the front doorway.

"Pair of hell hounds them." He grumbled.

Athena still held her gun firmly, though she'd lowered it slightly she still kept her wits about her when it came to Ace Merrill. Although now she didn't focus on the barking dogs next door she could truly look and see the damage Eyeball had caused in their dispute. Ace's eye was purple, his lip was cut and his jaw was a lovely mixture of blue and purple too.

"You gonna wear a shirt or not today then?" Ace said as he nodded towards Eyeball.

In their haste to get downstairs to Chris they hadn't even thought about getting changed, Athena still in her pyjamas with Eyeball in just his bottoms.

He nodded quickly, gave Athena a small smile and bound up the stairs. Athena turned to see Ace still standing in the doorway. The pair stood in an awkward silence as they both glared at each other, it was clear neither liked the other but there was a silent agreement to be civil.

Eyeball came back down fully dressed followed by Chris, who quickly shot to Athena's side upon seeing Ace in the doorway. She felt him reach out and hold onto the back on her shirt but she let him knowing Ace still very much scared him.

"Later love." Eyeball said as he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Go to school shitbag." He added as he ruffled Chris's hair and quickly headed out with Ace. The pair laughing and joking instantly as if they hadn't had a bust up yesterday.

"Their friendships weird." Chris mumbled as he watched them jump in Ace's car and head off.

Athena nodded as she put her arm around Chris's shoulder, gently tugging him closer.

"Agreed."

"Now you. School. Butt. Move." She ordered down at him with a smile.

He smiled up at her and nodded. "Later love." He said trying to imitate his brother as she gently smacked him.

He laughed as she gave him a kiss on the head and he rushed off down the street. Shutting the door she finally let the dogs free from the lounge as they began sniffing around the door, knowing Ace's scent was there but being unable to find him.

She smiled at them as she quickly headed upstairs to have a shower and get changed for her first day.
