I talk to him too.

The day after Athena had refused to get up from Chris's bed. Eyeball had made her breakfast but it lay untouched at her side.

He tried talking to her but got no response, she only rolled over and faced away as she clutched the teddies and sheets tighter to herself.

Eyeball didn't know what to do as he walked around the house. It seemed so empty now. No Chris. No Jax. No Max. Empty.

The more he walked around the more agitated he got. This wasn't how it was meant to go. They were all meant to be here with him. They were meant to be a family.

He crashed onto the sofa as he let his eyes wander, they fell upon the rope the dogs often played tug of war with as his eyes locked with it.

The dogs weren't dangerous. Not in the slightest. They were protective yes and in that way somewhat dangerous but only to people that were a threat. They'd helped the town. Max more so with Jax being injured. Yet Jax was only injured because he was saving a life. Since when did saving a life mean you were dangerous?

Eyeball grumbled as he'd had enough. He heaved himself up and rushed upstairs. He slipped his trainers on as he walked back into Chris's room.

Athena still lay there as he saw the pain on her face.

"I'm going out, I got an idea of something we can do. You coming?" He asked quietly.

Athena looked up at him before slowly rolling over and facing away. Eyeball sighed slightly as he walked over to her.

"Athena... you're stronger than this." He mumbled as she stayed facing away.

"I'm gonna fix this Athena.." he mumbled again as he reached his hand out to her but stopped himself.

"I'm gonna fucking fix this." He said to himself as he turned and headed out downstairs.

He had to find her dad and possibly McKenzie, they were his best bets at putting this idea into practice.

Athena sighed as she heard the front door shut. She knew was shutting him out and she knew she shouldn't. But she did. She slowly rolled over and sat up. Running her hand through her hair she shoved it up into a ponytail.

Climbing off the bed she headed into her own bedroom, quickly grabbing a change of clothes she went for the worlds quickest shower.

She was soon slipping her trainers on as she shoved her hoodie over her head. Pulling the hood up she headed out the front door and started off down the street.

Ensuring she kept her head down and hood up so as to not be spotted she hurried along the streets. Moving past various people she felt like she knew the way off by heart.

Pushing the black gate open she slipped inside and slowly lifted her head to look around. The graveyard seemed empty. She let herself pull the hood down as she slowly began walking through.

"Hey Denny." She mumbled as she reached the only grave she cared about.

Crouching down she sat down in front of him and let her fingers fall to the grass on his grave.

"I need your help Denny." She said as she had to fight back the tears again. She'd done too much crying recently.

"Shocker there I know but you were so good last time." A small smile came to her face as she remembered she'd asked for a guardian angel and Eyeball appeared two seconds later.

"At least I think that was you... I hope it was... don't suppose you wanna do it again?" She asked with a small laugh as she looked up at the grave.

"I take it you've seen everything? I gotta get Chris and the dogs back. I just don't know how..." her voice trailed off.

"You know those dogs aren't dangerous! I know they aren't! Even my boss does! I just don't know how to prove it, especially to the child services."

"Don't suppose you know?" She asked again looking back up at his name engraved in the stone.

"Man I feel like an idiot. Talking to a freaking grave like you're just gonna answer me." She tutted as she wiped her face and looked down at the grass in her fingers.

"I know I'm asking a lot Denny. I just need a little more help here. You've given me a guardian angel, just give me this one last thing. Give me one reason to hold on." Her voice whispered as she looked up. She had lost Chris and the dogs, she needed a reason to carry on fighting.

She almost jumped as a piece of paper came flying at her.

"Gods sake!"

She jumped as she grabbed the paper and stood up, Gordie came rushing over but stopped as he saw her and his brothers grave.

"Gordie? What are you doing here?" She asked as he slowly approached her.

He looked down at the paper in her hand as she held it up, scanning it over. It was a petition asking for names and signatures to stand beside Athena, Max and Jax in proving the dogs aren't a danger to anyone but criminals and they should be returned to their rightful owner and rightful home.

"Gordie what is this?" She asked as she looked back up at him, he'd appeared at her side as his eyes fell on Denny's grave.

"Eyeball's idea, him, your dad and McKenzie are practically demanding signatures from everyone. The other cobras and Teddy and Vern all have sheets too. It's manic out there." He laughed slightly as he looked up at her.

"Were you talking to Denny?"

Athena gulped as she looked down at the gravestone.

"No." She answered too quickly.

Gordie smiled up at her as he reached his hand out and took hers in his, giving hers a soft squeeze.

"I talk to him too."

She looked down at him and softly smiled at her cousin.

"Call me stupid but I think he can hear us." She said.

He nodded up at her, his eyes briefly glazing over as he smiled.

"I think so too."

Athena smiled as she let his hand go but pulled him closer to her, his arms wrapped around her waist as the pair stood in silence looking down at the grave.

"I asked him a while ago for a guardian angel." Athena mumbled.

Gordie laughed into her. "And he gave you Eyeball? That's not very nice Denny."

Athena laughed and gently rubbed his back.

"What did you ask him for this time?" Gordie asked as he pulled away and looked up at her.

Athena smiled down at him and moved her hand to hold his again, clutching the page close to her in the other.

"That's between me and Denny. Now come on, we got Chris and two dogs to get home."

Gordie smiled up at her and nodded as they gave Denny's grave a final smile and walked from the graveyard, hand in hand.
