Eyeball had all the cobras unload both cars as they put all her stuff in the living room as she watched on with Chris under her arm. They couldn't help themselves but laugh as the dogs just kept rushing in and out, almost taking out the cobras as they bounded and pushed past them.

Eyeball gently pulled her aside into the kitchen away from everyone as he took her hands in his.

"I gotta go in a minute love. Gonna try talk to Ace and get this shit sorted." He mumbled as he quickly leant down and planted a kiss on her lips.

She kissed him back as her arms wrapped around his neck.

"I wish you could stay." She mumbled against his lips and he groaned, gripping her tighter to him.

"Oh I'm fucking coming back don't you worry." He mumbled as he moved his lips down along her jawline and onto her neck.

"You better do." She tried to say but found herself speechless at the feeling of his lips on he neck.

"Ew again."

They pulled away slightly and saw Chris in the doorway, Jax barked by his side as Chris nodded down at him.

"He agrees."

Athena pulled away from Eyeball laughing.

"The guys are all done and outside waiting." Chris said as he gestured behind him.

Eyeball nodded and quickly leant down planting a kiss on her cheek.

"Later officer." He said as he quickly headed out, ruffling Chris's head as he walked past.

Athena smiled as she heard the front door shut before stepping closer to Chris.

"Wanna see something cool?" She asked with a smirk.

He nodded instantly smiling. She reached out her hand he took it as he let her pull him upstairs as she led him into the room with the single bed.

He walked in slowly after her and looked around, she had a small smile on her face as he laughed down at the bed.

"Don't think you and Eyeball are gonna fit in that."

She smiled as she stepped forward and leant down to his ear. "This is a bed for a different Chambers." She whispered.

He turned to her slowly as she straightened up and smiled down  at him.

"Seriously?" He barely got the word out.

She smiled warmly down at him.

"For when things get too bad." She said as she reached into her back pocket and pulled out one of the three spare keys she received when picking up her own.

"You're gonna need this too." She said as she held it out to him.

She saw tears fill his eyes as he slowly reached out and took it before he flung himself at her. She laughed slightly as she held on tight to him, Jax and Max even tried jumping up to join in too.

"Thanks Athena.." she heard his soft voice speak out as he clung to her.

"I told you I got you Chris." She replied as she gently bent down and kissed the top of his head.

"Now." She snapped pulling away quickly. "You gonna help me unpack or become the grumpy teenager?"

He laughed and nodded as she took his hand.

"I'll help you unpack."

She smiled and gently tapped his nose before they both walked out and downstairs as they carried her stuff up to her room. Most of it was her clothes which Chris helped unpack from the bags as she set them in the drawers she wanted.

They set the dogs stuff up in the kitchen, bowls on the floor and they had an entire cupboard dedicated to their food, treats and bones.

It took a few hours, mainly because they ended up messing about half the time but it was finally done as she shoved some money in her back pocket.

"Gotta go find some more bits now, up for lending a hand?" She asked him as she came back downstairs and saw him sat on the sofa with the dogs.

He nodded and jumped up, brushing himself down quickly. She reached out her hand and he took it as the pair soon began heading off down the street together. The dogs by their sides.

They made multiple stops and Chris was surprised at how people treated him differently when she was with him. They didn't look at him as a lowlife Chambers kid, they looked at him as a kid helping the new officer with shopping for her new home.

They brought plenty, plates and bowls, knives and forks, blankets and bedding, even a basic food shop. Athena even brought Chris a couple of magazines, a couple of new outfits and a chain for him to wear his house key around his neck.

As the sun was slowly setting the pair were finally walking back towards her house, completely loaded with bags, even the dogs were carrying bags from their mouths.

The pair laughed as they both saw their struggling faces. Chris looked up at her and watched as she stuck her tongue out slightly, trying to concentrate on getting them all home in one piece as he smiled, she may not be his blood mum and may be sleeping with his brother but she was everything he'd ever wanted. She had known him for so little of a time yet he had a feeling there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for him.

They both felt a huge sense of relief as they finally made it back, stumbling through the doorway they dropped the many bags off in the living room.

Jax and Max instantly flopped as they crashed onto the floor. Chris laughed as he went to sit down too but was stopped by Athena shaking her head at him.

"No way young man, you stink! I got you those new clothes for a reason, upstairs, bath now."

A smile appeared on his face as he nodded slowly.

"Yes mum." He said sarcastically.

"Get that butt upstairs!" She said laughing as he grabbed his new clothes and she chased him out the room.

He laughed as he quickly rushed up the stairs and into the bathroom. Yes mum.
