Fuck, now what? I can't just say "I unlocked something new because I'm in love with you" It's too early into this for me to fuck it up. Is it too early to say I love you? I mean I loved her as a friend but if I say I love you now in the stage we are in, will it change her mind?

"I don't really remember how I got to that point to be honest" Soul lied

"Well we need to figure it out because if we used that technique from the beginning I would have been less tired. It cut so clean and smoothly that I used too much force on accident" Maka finished up her food and got up

"Let's go"

They got ready for their day and headed out. The ride to school was quiet. Maka felt awkward for not saying anything, or should she say anything? It's not like they always had splendid conversations

When they arrived to school they were greeted by their friends with a cake and confetti

"Congratulations Soul and Maka!" Everyone said

"Thanks guys" Maka smiled, she looked at the cake that said 'congratulations on 99 souls!'

"You really can't fuck it up this time" Black Star said with his hand on her shoulder

"Shut up" Maka laughed and shoved him lightly

"Mistakes were made before but it doesn't matter anymore. You will be a fine death scythe to work with" Kid told Soul

"It's gonna be so cool!" Patty said

"I don't think we will ever be death weapons considering Kid freaks out by how many souls take in one mission, we've been stuck at 58 for like forever" Liz said rolling her eyes

"Yea Tsubaki is pretty close too but we're not all that interested. I just know I'm stronger than you" Black Star said

"Yea okay" Maka said

There was screaming going on near the school. People ran inside for protection

"W-what is going on?" Crona said looking around

"I don't know, let's take a look" Tsubaki said

The group went to the edge by the stairs to see explosion going on around the school.

"This is an attack" Kid said "Liz patty!"

"Soul"

"Let's go Tsubaki!"

"Ragnorok"

"Right!" The weapons transformed

"Maka Soul cover east, Black Star Tsubaki cover west, Crona go south to check if they are attacking through the back too. We are heading north, prioritize the students. If you find out what's going on send a signal"

"What signal?" Black Star said

"Whatever signal you can make let's go!" Kid said, the group split up and headed their own direction

Everyone went to their locations, Maka and Soul ran into a group of mysterious creatures. They had weapons and grenades on them, Maka began to attack the enemy

Maka took advantage of the opponents weapons and took a couple of grenades and put them in her pocket

I'm going to fucking die if I fuck this up Maka thought

She went up a balcony and saw the creatures from below, they began to climb up the walls surrounding them. She was shaking from taking the risk of holding grenades, Soul was able to feel her shaking.

"Maka are you okay?"

"Y-yea" she took a grenade out and looked at it swallowing hard

"Maka what are you doing that's dangerous let it go!"
