Soul finally felt good enough to ride his motorcycle again. As Soul drove Maka felt the warm breeze and the burning sun on her face. It was summer vacation and Maka was excited to spend more time with Soul

Soul parked the motorcycle and guided Maka to their destination, there were a lot of people in the area, children riding bikes, fathers with their kids eating ice cream and couples holding hands taking a walk.

Soul grabbed Maka's hand and smiled at her, Maka felt bubbly inside. Maka looked around the area they were in and recognized where they were

"We're here" Soul said as they stood in front of a book store

"The book store?" Maka said a little confused

"Yup" he opened the door for her and walked inside the cool building, it was small on the outside but big on the inside, there were two floors worth of books

"Pick out as many as you'd like" Soul said

"What? Soul do you know how much books cost!?" Maka said worried

"Yes I do" he smiled and kissed her cheek

"Come on" Soul pulled her closer towards the books so she can start looking

Maka felt surprised to think they would have a book shopping date. She looked around seeing all kinds of books

She headed for the fantasy section and looked for the next book for the series she was currently reading, she was so excited searching quickly with her eyes.

She couldn't seem to find the one she was looking for. Soul approached her with the book she was looking for

"It's this one you're looking for right?" Soul said

"How did you know?"

"I noticed you finished your last book with this title, I knew it was being released this week so I'm glad we found it" Soul said

Maka looked at the hard cover book, words couldn't explain how she felt. She smiled widely and amazed at how detailed Soul was

"Thank you so much" Maka said, she wanted to cry of joy

"Let's look for more" Soul started to search for another book he thought she would be interested in. They went around the store in different aisles and book shelves reading descriptions and looking at covers

Maka had picked out three more books that interested her but wanted to put two back thinking how much they cost. Her face looked puzzled as she re read the description

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know which one I should leave behind" Maka said

"I told you to pick as many as you'd like"

"Soul books cost a lot I-"

"Maka I'm the one who asked you on a date, and I told you I will buy them. I'm actually going to get these two manga too"

"You read manga?"

"It's been a while actually, sometimes I go to the library to read a couple series. They don't have them all so I'm just getting these two to catch up" Soul smiled

"Alright, I'd like these please" Maka said looking at him

"You sure you don't want to see more?"

"No these are plenty"

When they reached the check out Maka nervously looked as the lady scanned each book, Soul was blocking the register screen for her to not read price

When the lady was about to read the price number Soul quickly covered her ears muffling the price. Soul took out his card and got his recite
